Tom Glavine was the circle change FFS Jason.  I'll stop, Jason is fine, we should be happy to have him, yada yada yada.

I feel like we start every game with two or three strikeouts.

He missed that by three feet.  WTF is he even swinging at?  Ball was 6 inches wide.  Frustrating to see Jose continue to scuffle.

1-2-3, what a concept

The Royals are light years ahead of the Sox in advance scouting. You can see it by how their pitchers attack the Sox hitters. Case in point was Moncada in which they only threw him breaking balls after they got ahead with strike one.

I like he they are taking fastballs for strikes and then swinging through good curveballs.  Seems a totally good plan.

0-2 pitch in the zone

Hanging breaking ball.

To Parkman’s point, it just doesn’t seem like there is a plan and it’s been this way for years.

Jose is toast

Duda killed that. Was funny watching Palka go back thinking he had a chance on it, with it being like 20 rows back.

Same old Lopez.  Has no secondary offering he can rely on.

Fastballs will work for now, going to need to find something else in a couple innings.

Aced hamilton, great fastball location in that at bat

Idk about "same old," he has historically had a pretty damn good change, and decent curve when hes on. Just had a nice strikeout on the slider

Useful to keep in mind as Jorge Lopez mows us down: 1st time through the order this year, batters have a .280 OPS. Second time through, 1.000 OPS. Third time, 1.100 OPS

That is why I think Giolito has a higher ceiling. He at the very least has a slider and changeup that are very good, and occasionally he'll flash that ++ curve. Gio's slider is more consistent than his curve.  Lopez has a big fastball but his secondary stuff isn't that great. His change is ok to flashing + but his breaking balls are lacking. Lopez should pick either the curve or slider and try to develop feel for one of them. If I were him I'd choose the curveball because it is a different velocity than his changeup, while the slider is similar in velocity.

Hope he figures it out.

Eloy has been getting some nasty pitches this series.

Can't be looking offspeed kid with two strikes.

Just guessing

That was a learning AB for Eloy. 3 different pitches all in the zone.

Jack. Cool it on the Giolito hype for a night. We get it.

Knock that smirk off Lopez face

Edit:Good job Timmy
