Why don't we look at the 2018 fWAR leaders and their starts Betts - first 197 games .818 OPS Trout - first 179 games .911 OPS Ramirez - first 180 games a .644 OPS Bregman

i don’t think it’s moncada and jimenez that taught us that.

Cease is probably 2 good starts away from Chicago. We're already past the 7th season nonsense. Just bring him up and monitor his innings.

I might go to a game to see him pitch.

Cease so far:

3 IP, 1 ER, 4 H, 3 K, 2 BB

Edited by soxfan49

Cease's final line:

4 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 5 K, 3 BB

ERA now around 3.12 for the year

Why only 4 innings pitched?

Why did you think? Look at the hits and walks

84 pitches for DC today

is 84 pitches all this kid can handle? Why are people banging down the door for him to be promoted? He doesn't seem ready yet.

If he's being pulled after 84 pitches and 4 IP, the organization likely wants him to save innings in the minors so he can pitch throughout September in Chicago.

Calm down.

Yup. And he's certainly on an innings limit. He topped out at 124 IP last season.

Robert doubles over the head of the RF.

Who would've thought Ti'Quan Forbes would be the one to have the most respectable numbers down in AA from the guys who started there all year.

Tiquan Forbes just worked a 12 pitch AB for a walk

Robert double again. 2 RBIs.

That one was a rocket too

The Big Dog!

If he keeps it up thru July, how is Robert not the #1 prospect in MLB at mid-season? Who deserves to be ranked ahead of him?

That first double was definitely a “Birmingham home run”

Casey Mize?

Perhaps if he stays in AA until then, which I suppose is likely. But if he gets promoted to AAA, bombs away...

We need a light at the end of the tunnel at this point. Let's hope this kid is it (no more injuries please).

Tiquan Forbes single and BB. He continues to get on base at a good clip.

ANOTHER double for Robert.

3rd double for Robert. What a beast

SEND HIM TO CHARLOTTE.
