3rd round slot is $667K. They are likely giving Allan close to $4 million. If Allan chooses not to sign, they'd lose $667K but they could still offer Barco the remaining the 3.3 million they had allot

He'll help with the Sox recruiting pitch for Witt when he is a free agent in 8 years.

I like it. Plus speed, elite bat speed metrics, good arm strength and pop times. https://www.perfectgame.org/Players/Playerprofile.aspx?ID=394663

Logan Glass, from PBR:

Looks like a nice pick.  Where's he committed?

More from PBR on him:

Quote

Another high-end athlete from the Sooner State is OF Logan Glass (Mustang HS, OK). Though his swing is still raw, his 6-foot-4, 217-pound right-handed hitter shows consistent power to all fields posting an exit velo of 96 mph. He also shows elite arm strength hitting 100 mph from the outfield and 92 from the mound. Glass also runs a 6.65 60.

Nice pitching writeup on him as well.

Nice pick if we can sign him.

This is a fun pick.

Really hope he is signable. I would think with a Kansas commitment he should be.

Glass sounds like a pretty legitimate prospect!

Padres took Hampton.

107 innings, 17 walks for Milto... yea that's good control.

Mo Hampton was selected by the pads.

Hampton is going to want big money to sign. Not sure if the Padres will have enough room for him in their pool?

He's not signing.

I don't expect Hampton or Leiter to sign. Not at this point.

Sox just drafted a quality name for the system.

No way Barco signs with the Mets this late either I would imagine. The Mets bonus pool has to be tapped out after selecting Allan?

Maybe he's insurance?

Yup. Backup plan.

If they can't sign Allen they will lose that slot, it would still be kinda hard to get Barco.

honestly that makes most sense. They basically would need to waste almost every other pick to sign both. and Allan for sure could bolt. But both of them do have that carrot of the Met's pitching aura the last few years. the hype has been nuts.

No way, if Allan does not sign the Mets would lose $667k in bonus pool money. They must have planned on Allan signing.

Upon second look, I genuinely do not know if the Mets will be able to sign each of their top 4 picks...
