I like they were safe with Cease.

Rutherford robbed of a line drive single with a nice leaping catch by the shortstop.

Respect to the Trippie Redd walkup music.

Annnnd another Madrigal hit.

Then promptly steals 2B.

I think his nickname should be changed to Nelly

Lol. Watch the whole thing.

4 straight walks to start the game for Birmingham pitching. Brutal.

So Madrigal just needed to go to AA to become his true self, right?

Collins single.

Exactly. His last 20 games at WS were very good. After his wrist healed he was OSU Madrigal

OT: Jo Adell went yard.

Collins 2 run single.

Now 2-4, 3 RBIs.

Madrigal has certainly looked better lately, but this wrist narrative is off IMO. He broke his wrist in February of 2018. Before he was even drafted. That was like 16 months ago.

Robert strikes out. Chasing a pitch that was wayyyyy outside.

Maybe, however since he more than likely was playing through it, it's possible it took a while to heal and regain strength.

Madrigal RBI single. Line drive to the opposite field.

Its takes more than a full year to regain max strength in your wirst or hands if you break it.

This is becoming nuts

But I believe someone wrote an article recently where they said it was still bugging him as of late. I could be wrong

Madrigal actually should have walked that at bat. Got jobbed on a very bad strike call.

He's locked in. Done alot of damage today being behind in the count. Solid contact all day.

Perhaps. I watched a lot of Madrigal on W-S streams this year as well. The quality of contact I'm seeing lately does seem better. He's been pulling the ball much more lately too.

Madrigal is the type who will probably put up better numbers in AA than single A.

Since May 31st, Rutherford is 16 for his last 36 (.444 BA).

Robert looked to beat out a ground ball to SS, but was called out. He sure makes routine ground outs an adventure. Like every time.
