I wish people would stop looking at BA and RBI and look at OBP and SLG instead.

At 30 mill. per year they are entitled to look at everything.

I see you conveniently ignored the homer totals.

yea it's 2008 get with the time Greg.  wait wut?

It's 2019 which makes it more sad. Old timers have had a decade to adjust and they refuse to do so.

God I can't wait until Eloy is a full-time DH... lol

Every ball is an adventure

Glad he caught it somehow, though

Abreu has 52 RBI; Machado 33; Abreu has scored 31 runs to Machado 30; Abreu has 16 HR, Machado 10.

Machado is struggling early and that makes Abreu the better player? Look at trends, dude. Abreu stinks defensively and is clearly declining at the plate.

Slugging % takes HR into account. Total bases/hits.

Yeah especially the amount of runs you have. That's extremely relevant!

Machado isn't struggling. It's the Petco effect. Petco is where hitters go to die.

Would be fitting to see Eaton unload the bases and break our hearts.

Petco Park was a hitters park last season.

I mean, barely, but it was above average in runs/game.

Regression is balls falling that we’re caught before, not forgetting how to throw strikes

on a spreadsheet there isn't a difference and his walk rate wasn't going to stay so low.
