Imagine a lineup composed of Tilson, Cordell, Jay, Yolmer, and Rondon.

This is only year 3 of a 5-6 year rebuild. The Sox have plenty of time to find a left fielder.

  • Listen if you make him a DH at age 22, then he's a bust. I'd rather continue risking him in the OF than remove basically all his upside as a player so early in his career.

It’s just frustrating because all year the fielders have communicated poorly on balls in the air and many of us have commented someone is going to get hurt this year if this continues.

Tilson's quote is eerie

Victor Robles missed like 4 months or something crazy like that with a hyperextended elbow last season. Hoping for the best with Eloy but elbow injuries are never good.

It's not unacceptable. The guy is a complete clown in the outfield and is a totally liability. The Sox need to stop trying to make him something that he isn't.

Yeah I think it’s bad given how confident they are he will need to go on the IL. Just hoping it’s not Tommy John.

We will find out the extent of the injury once he gets back to Chicago for an MRI.

That seems WAY more serious, but who knows. Eloy was doubled over for a bit too.

Don't say those words around these parts man.

This is now the second major injury scare for Eloy due to his clown act in the outfield. Fool me once, fool me twice, Sox better not get fooled again!

I know that one looks worse, but you never know. Also with our history of injuries, it seems reasonable to expect the worst.

Gleyber Torres also needed TJS after initially being diagnosed as hyper-extended elbow

Eloy needing TJ after a low impact, non-throwing injury would be so White Sox.

Wonder if they go the IF route. Move Leury back to CF. I don't even dare want to say it, but I wouldn't be surprised if Escobar or Goins makes an appearance.

Two words: Mendick!

Honestly, at this ridiculous point this makes the most sense.  It gets Leury back to CF and allows the Sox to see what Mendick can do.  See if he can replace what should have been Yolmer’s role as backup infielder.  No one needs to see Engel again.

That is on Tilson then not Eloy. Terrible communication by what is suppose to be the captain out there. Can't even blame the language barrier as Eloy's english is not bad at all.

Looking at the picture in this link, I’m wondering if he blew out his bicep.  I’m not seeing why he would hold his arm that way with a shoulder injury.

Thought the same thing. Gotta hope it's a strain and not a tear.

Frank Thomas in 2001 blew his out but his was because of a violent hit to the ground as he was diving for a ball hit down the first base line. Anything is possible I guess.

Triceps.

Not a trainer but I think that's all in the same area. Either way it would be a bad injury.

How long would he be out if that were the injury? That's a 12 month injury isn't it?

The rebuild can't afford another blow like that.

Fucking Ichiro...... I was at that game. And devastated since I had a front row seat along the 1B side.

Pretty sure triceps are the back of your arm.
