  • Obviously not a good series.  The starts by Lopez, Gio and Cease are the good to take away from an otherwise awful series.  Next year this will be a distant memory.

I didn‘t mind taking a chance on Reed, but he makes Yonder look competent

He's going to end up stuck in the net like some 2-bit spiderman villain.

That was horrible to bounce that by Garcia too. Ball was barely out of the infield

Cease pitched way better than his line indicates.

Yeah, the pop up fell in and now Castillo flubs it. Ramos also didn‘t exactly crush the ball.

This team is playing terrible baseball. At least hopefully this means some of the usual idiots lose their jobs after the season.

Agreed. It sucks that he fell apart a bit after 5 2/3, but this is the lingest start he's had since being called up.

Like who? No one loses their jobs here. Unless you are referring to some of the crap players.

I don‘t even think he fell apart. Two of the hits were extremely cheap

Stop swinging at first pitch sliders on the outside corner. Just such a dumb approach everyone has.

The Ricky/Cooper/Steverson trio is antiquated and just bad

Cease still in there. Interesting.

I hope the whole staff is shitcanned.  Doubtful, but a man can dream.

I'm going to say I don't mind this decision by Ricky personally.

this has been quite the slog, almost like day games so I can only follow on gameday

Pitching has been solid, but this is as incompetent an offense as I can remember.  Yoan being out makes them unwatchable.

Line looks much better now.

Nice job Cease all in all.

Yeah he has to learn on the big league level.

And he responded really well, very impressive inning.

4-16, outscored 104-55 if this score holds up.  Sox “second wave” bullpen will probably add on 2-4 runs.

Nice in-person audition for Wheeler.

Someone should really interview Cooper for his thoughts on Zach after the game.

1985-88esque when Calderon was one of the better hitters

They were worse in 2013, Adam Dunn was the best regular with a 762 OPS

Eloy finally with a hit!

I know. He deserved better.

AJ Reed: BA+OPS = 570 (less now). I think it is safe to say the experiment has failed, time to cut bait and try someone new.
