  • This is an awful point.  It wasn't more enjoyable than Hawk and Stone, it was a one time novelty.  If that happened for 162 game season people would want to murder Walton by game 3

A genius that deserves an extension.  But it is easy with Usain Bolt on 3rd.

Walton is by nature someone that is going to be loved or hated.   I found myself laughing more than I can remember watching a televised game. Would I want that all year? of course not.

If the start of the pregame show is an indicator, this broadcast will be a fiasco

Really not thinking this will be good

Yea, well, so

One pitch in and this is already a disaster.

I think he's more... geeked if you catch my drift lol.

Walton is so bad, but still kind of entertaining

Whoever has grammar issues like this deserves to be fired

This is terrible. I don’t mind Walton during hoops games, but all this is doing is encouraging Benetti to try and be a comedian even more

Gotta love the fake overexcitement on every pitch and every play.  It was expected but man, is it fake and forced.

This is already getting old. This should be absolutely unbearable by the 3rd inning.

Walton’s gimmick blows as much as Benetti’s comedy act.

I'm personally loving Walton literally complimenting every player who does something lol.

I’m actually glad I’m watching the Angels broadcast.

Um, waaaay worse. He just loves to hear himself talk

Time to roll a DP.

It's not for "us"

Whoever did this deserves a raise. The Sox are a bad team that very little people care about, and I've already seen video's of the pregame posted by SI, Barstool and and multiple other outlets. For one game, it's great, goofy PR. There is very little downside.

Ding ding ding. Go to the reddit baseball board and fans from a bunch of other teams are jazzed to watch this.

I'm pretty sure it's genuine. Imagine a stoned Hawk Harrelson calling basketball for the first time. He'd lose his shit every time someone hit a three, got fouled, or dunked.
