  • This is an awful point.  It wasn't more enjoyable than Hawk and Stone, it was a one time novelty.  If that happened for 162 game season people would want to murder Walton by game 3

A genius that deserves an extension.  But it is easy with Usain Bolt on 3rd.

Walton is by nature someone that is going to be loved or hated.   I found myself laughing more than I can remember watching a televised game. Would I want that all year? of course not.

These kids are like "grandpa is actin funny again"

Bill isn't discussing analytics. I fail to see how this isn't your dream broadcast.

Actually, the way he is blowing smoke out of his ass that means absolutely nothing reminds me of analytics. Basically the same thing and of equal value.

misspelled word

Is it my imagination or did he name drop David Axelrod?

Go Angels! when the Sox are scoring.

Just hearing energy and excitement about a baseball game is kind of contagious...throw a flag out there, challenge!

Did you have a crewcut most of your life ?

The implication or reference escapes me here. Sorry

I loved Walton in his UCLA and Portland days, but he is now a living testement to the dangers of what prolonged drug use does to your brain.

He keeps bringing up this book or that book; he has no idea what happened in any of those books. Those brain cells were burnt out years ago. He's just pontificating and putting on airs.

As I said before, I quickly muted.

I was impressed with how much he knew about DeLaSalle

Straight laced IBM pencil pusher with pocket protector and 1960’s black horned rim glasses?

And US county population details/demographics...now they need to bring in Dave Eggers as the guest author for one inning, can start a new Sox tradition to get people more interested in books/reading.

White Sox extend this now insurmountable (2-0) lead!!!   He doesn’t know the White Sox bullpen this year.

You don't know what a crewcut is ? I'm referring to an old fashioned haircut for an old fashioned kind of guy. Specifically stereotypical HS coaches.

Atta boy Timmy!!

No, I was a English teacher and basketball coach with bad hair when I played in the 70s and in some ways equally bad when coaching in the 80s, probably too much hair.

The excitement he portrays is definitely contagious ?

Nah, I follow him.

Bill Walton is spewing a bunch of nonsense.

When I took calculus, it seemed like a bunch of nonsense until I could understand it.

It really is actually. I started out annoyed now I'm enjoying it lol

I just put on the game and holy fuck is this unbearable.  Like I totally get the PR stunt factor, but why not pull this shit during a Nova or Detwiler start instead? Giolito is must watch TV as is...

Eloy about to cost a pitcher another run

Eloy is the worst left fielder in history and can’t even make a throw to third base.  His arm is so weak he can barely get it to the cutoff man.

This is even more exciting than Orange Vanilla Coke, which actually sucks.

More highlight reel stuff of bad Eloy Jimenez defense.

I was honestly happy he didn't get hurt again.

Yep most guys who are this bad at catching the ball at least have great arms
