Game Thread 08/23/19 - Players Weekend and Cease Day - Rangers @ Sox

This is a big start for Dylan.  If he can just stop giving up early 3 run jacks, he could really be special.

Cease in control now. I can understand taking him out but I'd personally leave him in for the 7th.

Would be nice to see him go 6+ and get 10 K's.

Lynn nearing the end of the line.

The gopher ball has been his downfall this year. He's giving up a 3 run HR or GS every start it seems.

Josh Nelson posted some stats on Cease's individual pitches. I guess the SLG on his fastball is like .700... he gets some FB command and he will be lethal.

Lynn learned don't throw a hot free swinger anything good once you get ahead of him.

Dumb pitch selection to Abreu there.

It’s just a statistical oddity. He is fine.

5 of the 6 runs are with 2 outs.

HOLY SHIT YOYO!!!

Moncada is a fucking superstar.

That ball was kilt

Kilt it

Hmmm... longer inning than I anticipated. Maybe Cease can be done lol.

WOOOOOHOOOOOOOO

Woo saw the location and that 2nd pitch on game day and thought HR !

Yoan is awesome, but can’t believe they pitched to him. Rangers have given up

30 and 85 for yoyo?

.916 OPS for Moncada now. Kid has a great shot to hit 30 bombs too. Still pissed he wasn't an all star.

Two more RBI’s until we have to hear about Abreu’s RBI total the entire offseason...btw, only need 46 more homers to catch up with opponents this season.

I hope he gets to 30.

Remember all these hot takes that said he was a bust before this season?

3B is stacked. This might be a golden age of 3B in MLB. It's going to be incredibly difficult to get an all star nod at 3B in both leagues.

I'm aware (would've been a shoe-in at 2B).

Rangers are a bad team, the fact that they were above or around .500 for so long was just baffling.
