His hands look a bit softer; wonder if the work with Grandal/McCann has helped at all. He just has to be an adequate receiver; throwing out runners and blocking balls is whatever.

Vaughn HBP. Stop hitting our precious!

Vaughn HBP, right off the kneecap, looks OK

edit: shin guard

Edited by reiks12

Hope it doesn’t impact his plus speed

Was off his shin it looked like; regardless, yeah he looks fine.

That guy just looks so comfortable and natural in the batters box.

Yes he does, hes very intense

I was impressive with Madrigal‘s at-bat even though he only grounded out. The guy makes pitchers work.

'preciate the play by play guys.

Holy Cow! Look at the rear end and tree trunk legs on him. No wonder he can generate so much power.

Of course some on this board will insist it's PEds because no one can be built like that without help  ^^^^^ ?

He is going to be a pain in the ass for pitchers to get out. And we will all love it.

Yeah, Vaughn is not a big guy in general. Those legs drive everything he does and it generates top of the line power despite a compact swing and a smaller upper body.

Nice play by Mendick there.

Delmonico have a day. Even his foul balls are ropes. His eye is better too.
