Our last 14 games....wow

Yeah, we have to take advantage of the 17 games before those 14.

  • Last year there were only 9 games after July that weren’t played the day they were scheduled, in all of baseball.

  • Cleveland Riverfire. Where else does water start on fire?

I hate spiders so it would be quite fitting to match my general level of disdain for all things Cleveland sports. They could call the team the Taint Lickers for all I care so long as the racist c

Most teams schedules are gonna look rough.

You’ve gotta fight for your right to party.

And win 33/34 games

Fans of teams that are great the first 20 games: “This season is awesome!”

Fans of teams that suck the first 20 games: “This season is bullshit anyway.”

Sox dont leave Chicago from 8/13-8/30

Off days:

7/30

8/14

8/24

8/27

9/7

9/10

Cubs fans get to watch some of their games on TV courtesy of the Sox

So I can go to the Addison stop and watch a free exhibition.

First exhibition on a Sunday Night in an empty Wrigley Field. Weird, but damn right we’ll watch.

I already want this to be how regular seasons go from now on.  Just tons of regional action.  Love finishing the season against the cubs.  How exciting. That should be every year

This is absolutely a winnable schedule. Yes the last 14 games are tough. But think about this:

10 against Tigers
10 against Royals
4 against Pirates

24/60 games against 3 of the worst 5 teams.
Sox always win at least half of the Cubs games (3 guaranteed wins, 4 most likely)
Sox play 20 of 30 home games in August when the ball flys out the rate at high numbers

This schedule has so many great things going for it. 33-36 wins is ON THE TABLE.

The last 14 are going to be tough, but the previous 14 are against the royals, tigers, pirates, and 3 mixed in with the twins. It balances out but those last 2 weeks are gonna definitely be a test

Last four series:

Sox- 4 vs Min, 3 at Cin, 4 at Cle, 3 vs Cubs

Min- 4 at Sox, 3 at Cubs, 2 vs Det, 3 vs Cin

Cle- 2 at Cubs, 4 at Det, 4 vs Sox, 3 vs Pit

We have a top 5 weak SOS, the Twins series is in our favor from a location perspective, we have about 24 games against Tigers, Royals, and Pirates. We will be okay.

We just need to pray that covid and injuries don't ravage the team

Yeah everyone is panicking about the last stretch but the Twins last 4 series is just as tough as ours is. And we get them for 4 at home.

Cleveland Rockers is something I've heard rumored

That would be such a lame team name.

I wonder why no double-headers? Thought with the compressed timeline, we might see a few of those to get people in and out of a city, limit the number of nights in hotels, etc.

Pretty sure they didn't want doubleheaders because of the number of hours with each other at the park. They want them in and out of there.

There will still be some rainouts, so there will still be some double headers.

Forgot about the rainouts. Wash out a two-day series and there could be major headaches. What happens if that St. Louis series or Cincinnati series hits a bad patch of weather? That could be a nightmare.
