July 6, 20205 yr Fans of teams that are great the first 20 games: “This season is awesome!” Fans of teams that suck the first 20 games: “This season is bullshit anyway.”

July 6, 20205 yr First exhibition on a Sunday Night in an empty Wrigley Field. Weird, but damn right we’ll watch.
July 6, 20205 yr I already want this to be how regular seasons go from now on. Just tons of regional action. Love finishing the season against the cubs. How exciting. That should be every year
July 6, 20205 yr This is absolutely a winnable schedule. Yes the last 14 games are tough. But think about this: 10 against Tigers 10 against Royals 4 against Pirates 24/60 games against 3 of the worst 5 teams. Sox always win at least half of the Cubs games (3 guaranteed wins, 4 most likely) Sox play 20 of 30 home games in August when the ball flys out the rate at high numbers This schedule has so many great things going for it. 33-36 wins is ON THE TABLE.

The last 14 are going to be tough, but the previous 14 are against the royals, tigers, pirates, and 3 mixed in with the twins. It balances out but those last 2 weeks are gonna definitely be a test Edited July 6, 20205 yr by ScooterMcGee
July 6, 20205 yr Last four series: Sox- 4 vs Min, 3 at Cin, 4 at Cle, 3 vs Cubs Min- 4 at Sox, 3 at Cubs, 2 vs Det, 3 vs Cin Cle- 2 at Cubs, 4 at Det, 4 vs Sox, 3 vs Pit
July 6, 20205 yr We have a top 5 weak SOS, the Twins series is in our favor from a location perspective, we have about 24 games against Tigers, Royals, and Pirates. We will be okay.

And we get them for 4 at home.

July 7, 20205 yr I wonder why no double-headers? Thought with the compressed timeline, we might see a few of those to get people in and out of a city, limit the number of nights in hotels, etc.

They want them in and out of there.

Wash out a two-day series and there could be major headaches. What happens if that St. Louis series or Cincinnati series hits a bad patch of weather? That could be a nightmare.
