So we don’t even send Engel on a 3-2 pitch?

Gausman must have pitched well against Padres

Nope...might have been the Dodgers.

Wtf is Timmy doing

My position was that McCann would be the better investment moving forward (production per $ spent). Rather than signing Grandal, I wanted McCann extended another 2-3 years and to use the savings for pitching help. Need pitching to win in the playoffs.

But you're ignoring the need for power , LH, and OBP and we had a stable full of young starters. Plus theres no guarantee McCann still doesn't choose free agency. Covid messed up a lot of plans . I too thought another starter might be necessary but GIOGON was Ok. I also stuck up for McCann a lot but Grandal is a proven top catcher in baseball whereas McCann wasnt.

Gausman in recent days has been upper 90's and looks like a poor man's Wheeler or another version of Lucas Giolito...put him on a winning team, without any pressure?

another version of Lucas Giolito ?

You’re a hoot.

MLB Trade Rumors has Mike Minor and Jose Quintana in TIER 1, along with Tanaka.

Not going there with them, not based on how Minor's throwing, and Q's impossible to value right now.   Tanaka unlikely to leave NY.   Could see him going back to JPN or retiring, but likely figure out a way to stay with the Yankees for less money.

McCann works a 2 out walk.

Timmy the 2nd player this season in MLB with a 4 hit game, all 4 hits over 100 mph exit velocity.

1st was Eloy.

18 months ago, it seemed like Lucas Giolito was on the way out of baseball.   Someone with that kind of stuff, sometimes everything just clicks in the right situation.

I guess paying $70M+ for a player that you can’t play in the playoffs (two years in a row with the Dodgers) was a red flag to me.

Robert has to be more competitive than that

YOU KNOW HE DOESN'T WANT TO THROW YOU A STRIKE!

Which is why you don't quit on starters with LIVE arms after a small amount of starts... [hint, hint]

Robert doesn’t seem to pick up Soto at all. Looks like he is swinging blindfolded

Making Robert look overmatched the first two pitches.   Too overeager.    Great block by Greiner, also runs well for a catcher, been impressed.

Once again: McCann has to stay in the lineup

Absolutely no game plan. Didn’t throw a pitch within a foot of the zone

nasty pitch to get him but FFS take a god damn pitch in that situation, it's not like the bases were juiced and he had to come at Robert like the previous situation.

Soto kid has an interesting arm, Robert had a good AB just swung at a tough pitch

100%. He’s been the Sox second best hitter behind TA this year.

That was a nasty slider bearing in on him...oh, well.

That might have been the hit of the early season for the White Sox, the bases clearing double coming off a 2/25 slump.

Sarcasm?

What’s up with your mancrush on Gausman. He isn’t good. And Richards is definitely not in tier 1 either ?

Do you remember how good Richards was with the Angels before the injuries?    He's getting closer and closer to being the same pitcher.
