Abreu hits right into the shift.  TA to 3rd.

TA stranded.

Can we drop EE out of the cleanup spot already?

Can we just end the EE experiment?

No reason why Eloy and Robert shouldn't be batting higher than him. Especially since they are your future and EE is only here for another month.

I can get behind that as well.

But until that happens, he has to be dropped down.  Can’t keep having that black hole in the middle of the order.

He gone!  123 1st for Keuchel.

It makes too much sense to drop him to 6th (more sense to have McCann DH) for Ricky to do it

Royals shifts working today ?

What's with these weak loopers? It's the corpse of Matt Harvey

Love Gio but Dallas is a born leader, he takes starting day next season for me.

If we’re sticking with what we got, this is the lineup I’d like to see against RHP:

  1. Anderson, SS
  2. Grandal, C#
  3. Abreu, 1B
  4. Jimenez, LF
  5. Robert, CF
  6. Moncada, 3B#
  7. Encarnacion, DH
  8. Mazara, LF*
  9. Madrigal, 2B

I don't think DK would do that to Gio. Playoffs? Sure but not opening day.

96 MPH from Harvey right there. I thought his velo was completely gone

This would be too smart for RR.

Mazara badly due for a bomb

When we all assumed the Sox would score 39 runs today & so playing Yolmer was fine, we should've remembered that Harvey is a RHP with a decent slider

Agreed, just what I would do but highly unlikely.

I'd want Gio to earn it back, not get complacent.

Gio threw a no hitter and has helped anchor this staff.  What does he have to earn back?

EE's chinstrap annoys me. That should be reason enough to ship him off to Schaumburg.

A lot of weak contact to this point.  Sure would be nice if a guy with excellent bat control were in the lineup to lead off the next inning...

Pitching isn't as consistent as Dallas and he isn't as vocal.

What Dallas did earlier this season to rev up the players was something I've been looking for in a team leader for ages.

I think DK would defer to Giolito. Gio has shown nothing to convey that he would get complacent or that he isn’t constantly working to improve.
