I get people are frustrated but this is just incorrect.

Moncada is slashing 248/341/395 this season.

Grandal is slashing 237/363/412.

I understand the frustration watching him watch fastballs down the pipe, but he has been more dangerous than Moncada this season, and his patient approach has helped the Sox put huge pitch counts on the opposing SPs in the first inning lately.

I didn't argue their slash lines this year.  Moncada is more dangerous.

  • I'm sorry but why the f%$# is Mazara in the lineup again?  He has looked awful and Engel busted his ass twice down the line to get infield singles last night.  I disapprove of this greatly!!

Engel to the IL for busted ass.

That is an interesting idea.  I haven't thought of that.

Would you do Moncada 3 then?

Not until Moncada can get out of his funk. Move him down in the lineup

Eloy makes a lot of sense right now actually. He's been pushing the ball to the right side a lot. You can do some hit and run with that.

Would rather just let Eloy hit 4th for the entire decade

I really don't like the waste pitch of throwing so high that no one is tempted to swing. As least make it close enough to tempt the hitter.

Too many change ups in a row.

That didn’t even look like a good swing.  Ball kept carrying.

Seen enough waste pitches the last ten days to last a season

Yes it did.  Ball is carrying today to RF at least.

Gio definitely missing some spots so far, early.

This is the first time the Sox have trailed this series.

Unfortunately for Cease, I don't think he does it on purpose right now.

He Gone

Their leading/trailing numbers since that Cardinals DH are absolutely bonkers

Genuinely not trying to be a prick, but what do you even mean by dangerous then?

Grandal has more homeruns (in less at bats), higher slugging, lower K rate.... The only thing Moncada has done better so far is hit doubles. Moncada has definitely missed a ton of pitches to hit this season too.

Next year, after he heals up, Moncada is definitely more dangerous, I just don't see what the justification is this year.

Giolito is so much better when he doesn’t have the exaggerated kick at the end of his delivery

Control is not sharp so far

Yeah Yoan got off to a strong start with his slugging. That has fallen off a cliff once he got hurt.

or Tim got the sign wrong. One of them did

Yeah that's true.  Doesn't matter now.

3 out of 4 would be good but we just need to split this series.

They just showed the graphic. The Sox have led in 26 of the last 27 games.

If we split the next two games, I think that flips the tiebreaker to us, which effectively gives us another game on our lead.

Sox have only trailed in 29 innings.  That’s bonkers.

Not. A. Strike.

Now that we've won the first 2, I think you need to take 3 out of 4. Especially with Gio and Keuchel going.

and 170 of the last 244 innings. They gave only trailed in 29 of them.

Damn.
