  • I'm sorry but why the f%$# is Mazara in the lineup again?  He has looked awful and Engel busted his ass twice down the line to get infield singles last night.  I disapprove of this greatly!!

First time post in some time (could not access old account) and long time follower of Soxtalk.

Team did not come out and meet the moment tonight after the first two nights. No fire and for the AL's best offense, they looked quite pedestrian. You can reach a couple conclusions from this. One, they had an off night (hopefully) or two, they struggle against good pitching. I was more hopeful that they would be able to hit a guy who had been sitting on the DL for a month, but no dice.

Again, you cannot win them all so off nights are bound to happen. Too bad Lucas did not get any run support. Let's see how they respond and hopefully they can close out the series tomorrow to maintain a 3 game edge on the Twinkies.

Tending to write it off as an off night. Seems like everyone in the Twins pen has an ERA under 3 so you just gotta produce against their starters and tonights came came in with an ERA over 6. The Sox are just not a team that can't handle that save for the occasional egg laying.

Yuck.  Maybe the offense can weather the storm.  Big picture it's definitely the smart play to rest Dallas longer.

That's why i said maybe.  I was hoping for a split, The sox have that.  House money now.

On paper, you bet the house on Minnesota tomorrow. But it's baseball. You never know. Lopez is due to show something.

The one thing to salvage from today is a lot of innings again from the Twins Bullpen. Need to work deep in counts and get Maeda with a few innings left to make it count. He has been pitching really well of late.

Perhaps Engel will play tomorrow, sounds like Encarnacion returning.

Welp, I'm just gonna call it a night and see if I can have a dream of how all this would be had Kopech decided to play the season.

Let Yolmer play tomorrow :)

We just need to come out tomorrow and fire on all cylinders early. Take them out early instead of playing to lose. Either way, the magic number is one so we just need to take it one step at a time. Concentrate on getting to the playoffs first than worry about the division. Remember, we are one year ahead of schedule. We’ll hopefully learn from the experience and grow from it. That’s what good teams do, they learn to not take these things for granted and eventually get over the hump.

We lost another game this season? Absolutely unacceptable.

Might as well go with Dyson in CF, Engel in LF and Mazara in RF, Yolmer at 3rd, Mendick at SS, Madrigal at 2B, EE at 1B and give the rest of the starters a break as well on getaway day.
