A hitter like Grandal is not the type to hit and run with it’s not that hard to figure out.

Depends on the players involved. If your player at first has good speed and the player at the plate makes good contact and hits lot of ground balls, and you want to stay away from the double play, it is a good move. Like with Anderson and Madrigal.

Hit and run is much better with two bases occupied and a contact hitter.  That wasn't the case last inning.
