I have ran the clock and scoreboard for about a decade for my local HS football games.  Due to a nice recommendation from the AD I work with, I am actually going to get to run it now for a D1 football game this weekend, so that should be fun.

Tonight at 6:14 CDT, a NASA spacecraft will be intentionally crashing into an Asteroid so that scientists can see how much the impact causes a change in the asteroid's motion. Our first true planetary defense/revenge on behalf of the dinosaurs mission. 

 

This sounds super cool - especially since this is a test and not a real situation where if we failed it means the end of the world

 

Did someone here recommend Time Enough for Love? A hold I had at my library finally came through and I rarely read SciFi I can't imagine why I ordered it.

Some a-hole stole the wheel well liners from my truck. The front are factory, the rear ones cost me a couple hundred bucks. Pisses me off. 

Some people are just uggh.

I got an email from “Portillo’s Hot Dogs” this morning and my first thought was a White Sox source was giving me some insider info. 

The biggest rocket to be built since the Saturn V is scheduled for launch just after midnight Central time tonight and so far it looks good for launch.

 

This would be the coolest field trip ever.  I have done a few private parties at the DC Smithsonians, but this would be the perfect balance and childhood and drunken fun.
