March 2, 20224 yr Let's assume a 120 game or shorter season. It could help teams with older players who might avoid a stint on the injured list. But it could also help younger teams whose players could be ready quicker. Being short a starter would be more of a problem without some off days.

Hurts younger teams more due to the long term development lost imo.

March 3, 20224 yr Terrible for Crochet and Kopech. Should help Grandal and Keuchel, as well as Hendriks. Also protects Abreu from typical aches and pains. Eloy, due to less opportunities to get injured.... Edited March 3, 20224 yr by caulfield12

For Crochet and Kopech, they will both be on innings limits aynway so in a way, a short season helps, depending on how short we are talking here though.

Yes -- everyone has fretted all offseason about how we are going to get Kopech through a full season on an innings limit. Well, that may be solved for us.

Players who really worked hard in the off-season will benefit, young or old. Players will get less spring training which could result in more injuries.
