March 14, 20224 yr I bet they are thrilled to get out from under Donaldson’s contract. Urshela has always killed us, but I’ll take Sanchez’s potential for killing us over Garver’s proven success against us. Twins have radically reshaped, not sure they are better. Interesting moves, though.
March 14, 20224 yr I actually think the Twins are worse than they were at the start of today. Sanchez and Sano in the same lineup is a K waiting to happen.
March 14, 20224 yr Unless the Twins are planning on Correa or some other home run signing, I have no idea what they are doing, besides cutting salary.

Yeah, they're apparently in on Story. Weird to trade for 2 years of Sonny Gray then turn around and deal your 3B and newly acquired SS.

You win more games with pitching. Plus Donaldson was making far too much money for what he is worth. Better use if the resources elsewhere.
March 14, 20224 yr Sanchez looks like a guy that isn't really a catcher much longer. Seems like a salary dump first move to help team 2nd. Yankees always seem to find these deals. At least Donaldson is out of the division and it's at the Twinkies' expense this time.

They already have Sano as well who should mostly DH.
March 14, 20224 yr I would be surprised if they kept Sanchez. He's a horrific catcher and they already have Sano and Kiriloff for 1B/DH. I don't know where Sanchez will get his AB's.

With MLB going to a more balanced schedule is doesn't matter that he is out of the division. The Sox will see nearly as often as when he was with the Twins.

I just meant it would be weird to not do anything else. At this rate, they might as well grab Story, 2 of Greinke, Pineda, Cueto and hope for a lightning in a bottle season.
