May 22, 20223 yr Twins 17-1 when scoring 4+ runs. 4.5 ties biggest division lead of the season. +30 vs. -29 in terms of RS/RA compared to White Sox. No homers in their last five wins or games, something like that. White Sox 2.5 games behind Toronto in WC race with nobody yet between them. Indians 3 back. Edited May 22, 20223 yr by caulfield12
May 22, 20223 yr Royals in the process of somehow blowing a 6-0 lead in the 8th and 9th to the Twins...tied 6-6, runner on second in the top of 9 with two shots to take the lead for Minny. First homer in almost a week. Edited May 22, 20223 yr by caulfield12
May 24, 20223 yr Twins with a Kepler grand slam against a pitcher nobody has heard of with a 12 ERA.l in the bottom of the first. Likely to be 10 games over .500. Btw glad we were smart enough not to go after Javier Baez at least. The defense and base running just can't offset the offensive woes. And we will also see how the Guardians stack up against the Astros in Houston. Likely pretender, but they've been sticking in there for longer than most would have given them credit for. May 24, 20223 yr Tigers tied it 4-4, what do you know? Former Guardian/Indian Joe Smith gave up his first run of the season for the Twins.

May 24, 20223 yr The Twins continue to pummel bad teams and win seemingly every close game. Eventually they'll go through a rough patch and hopefully the Sox are able to take advantage, but man, they're playing to a 100 win pace right now and look like a very good team.

They have no chance at winning anything and would only rob themselves of the prospects they really need down the road.

May 24, 20223 yr Oops didn't check the date because it was right next to a new Anderson article. Well in that case the odds of the Royals still going after Montas and burning prospects in non competitive years are pretty much slim and none. Unless they want another version of Gil Meche, veteran anchor for a young/rebuilding organization. Even then, he had a five year commitment, not such a limited time frame as Montas offers...so they should be looking for more of a Jon Lester who would sign an extension. Tough tough sell.
May 25, 20223 yr Tigers now 5-15 on the road. Would be the fourth series sweep of the season for the Twins. White Sox, A’s, Royals, Tigers.

I would assume Detroit can't be this bad all year, which sucks because we play them 9 times in August and September. Wasn't it Hawk that said, "It's not who you play, it's when you play them." Something like that anyway.

Just missed a bomb in first, barely yanked foul. But Correa and Sanchez really heating up. Celestino a revelation and Kepler wishes all of his games were against Detroit. Finally Arraez .455 obp leads majors.
