Fascinating the Twins have built a reliable bullpen without overpaying for guys

FYI, this was 100 pct intended to jinx them. You’re welcome....not all heroes wear capes

    Famous last words, but he is way more legit than Yermin. Kwan should have been a top ~50 prospect given the changes he made with his swing last season.

    Long term strategy--eliminate the best player from another WC contender.

Don't jinx your jinx! Come on Detroit!

Twins have the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th. Nobody out, down by 2. It feels like they've won this exact game ~10 times already this season.

Arraez is such a remarkable hitter. I wish the Sox had someone like that in their lineup. Or ~7 of them.

Great catch by Torkelson to end the game!

Twins finally drop a game vs a bad team. They had won 6 in a row vs the A's/Royals/Tigers combined.

He’s what Madrigal was supposed to be with the bat.

This has been said about every slap hitter that does well against the Sox, but with Arraez it's actually true.

Still have to weather nine more against KC (4) and Detroit (5).

Not going to get K's like that against Correa and Kepler with bases loaded on a consistent basis too often in Minny.

But the Twins with Buxton struggling mightily and not adjusting to a DH role were definitely due for a loss even facing a bullpen starter.  He's back in CF tmrw, supposedly.

Twins blew their lead but have bases loaded no outs now.

Barlow has been unbelievable this year.  Fortunate to get the bottom of the order, but Gordon and Kepler aren't easy outs…and their rookie 1B was 2/3 in the game before he was the first out via K.   Ball didn’t leave the infield after dicing up Gordon with a curve.

Twins already up 4-0 over KC after 1. Looks like they'll be making up another half game on the Sox tonight.

4-4

Hey, have you heard Nicky Lopez is from Naperville?

Witt grounded into a DP with bases loaded and one out.  That ended the KC momentum.  6-4.

Pretty fortunate to have Buxton out/struggling, but still can’t consistently rely on the Royals and Tigers to bring them back to the pack.

Witt Jr. really tearing the cover off the ball recently but still might not be enough.

Zack Greinke (his looks the most serious), Sonny Gray (pec tightness, might only miss a start or two) and Royce Lewis (collision with CF wall) all injured in action on Sunday...

Twins’ upcoming June schedule (26 games)    After last two (2) against DET

@ Toronto

Yankees

Rays

@Mariners

@DBacks

Guardians

Rockies

@Guardians (5 game series)

Twins fans are concerned about their team only playing to a ~93 win pace against all of these bad teams. They could have built a large cushion over the last few weeks but fortunately did not.

Ironically, Taylor Rogers has completely had a disaster of a stretch after entering the week with a 0.36 ERA or something 2021 Kimbrel-esque like that.

Apparently the Moncada “Forty Acres and a Mule” comment wasn’t enough…

3) José Ramírez, 3B, Guardians (not ranked)

J-Ram ranked in the Top 3 of the first two Hitter Power Rankings of the season, and he's right back there again after falling out of the Top 10 last time. The Guardians slugger was just named American League Player of the Week after batting .348 with three homers, seven extra-base hits, 11 RBIs and three stolen bases last week. Ramírez leads the Majors with 52 RBIs.

Something to look forward to.

I didn't realize that Steven Kwan thing fell off a cliff.  He's hitting .250.  Dude must've gone 0 fer a month.

Royals on pace for 111 losses. 4-4 vs Sox

What's new?  Have to wipe out the Tigers and Royals from here on out...and consistently take 2/3 against Twins or Indians head to head.  Can't afford to be swept so often either.
