Such a heads up play by ReyLo there. So rare to see the Sox execute something like that correctly.

Bichette is a huge batter in this game

That was way too messy.

It was fine aside from the lollipop throw to Burger. Running right at him was what you're supposed to do

I wouldn't let Lopez face Vlad if Bichette reaches here.

We suck so bad at catching the ball.

Would have been a disaster if Burger didn't make the play.  Have to sprint at the runner and force him back to second with just one throw.

Yeah the lollipop throw is what I was really referring to. They're also lucky that it seemed like Springer wasn't really trying to get to 2nd.

Reminds me so much of youth baseball in that aspect

Count me officially worried.  Could use another few runs for sure.

It should have only been 8-3. The missed strike 3 and the over throw. Just keeping one of those off the board makes it worse case a 4 run lead (which just feels better than 3).

Gas!!

Who do you bring in, Kelly?

Wow that was a filthy pitch

99 on the black. What a job by Reylo

99 on the back like that will do

Lopez is filthy

Lopez is going to be the closer at this rate...

I would have gone with Graveman, but fortunately we don't have to worry about it now

Atta boy ReyLo

You disagree that the minor leagues is where kids should learn how to play basic defense?

Pass.

If they had a better 3B on the team then maybe they could afford to develop him further in the minor leagues.  But the Sox have had a black hole at 3B until Burger earned the job.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Would imagine we go Kelly/Graveman provided it stays a save situation.

Wouldn't mind a few insurance runs.

I think ReyLo is the 2nd best healthy reliever on the team, which probably isn't saying a ton, but still

Then you have nobody to close with Liam and Bummer out.
