10/1/22 Sox @ Padres 7:40 Forget It, They're Rolling Gamethread

Featured Replies

I think that baseball should make a modification to the post season schedule again.

Each year the worst team from each league should play each other in a three game series and the team who loses that series would be deemed the winner of the Worst Series Trophy.

This year it would be the Nationals against the A’s… they each have lost 102 games so far.

Andrus is on one of the greatest contract drives of all time.  He's trying to erase 5 years of being a total shitbag in 5 weeks.

So glad that jake Diekman will be on the 2023 White Sox and Manny Machado won't. Nice job, Jerry & Rick.

  • Snell is a scumbag. Your love for the Padres and their team full off a-holes is so strange.

Which team would pick up Keuchel to pitch game 1 of the series??

Did Andrus just get blinded on that?

So dropping a ball that lands in the middle of your fucking glove isn't an error anymore.

I propose they introduce relegation and promotion.

The eventual “winner”.

Remember the good ol days when Grandal could hit for power.

It's important to keep giving Harrison every day AB's over younger players who will actually be on the team next year.

Trading with the Guardians isn't usually a good idea.

Unbelievable that trade with SD.  Thar's a KW type deal the Padres made/

That's not that close...umpiring this series has been bad.

The Sox wanted Clevinger. Preller bailed them out by making an offer the Sox couldn't match.

The Sox dodged a huge bullet. Clevinger was damaged goods.

You'd also have to think that the deal probably involved Dane Dunning. Cleveland would probably turn him into the next Shane Bieber.

That wouldn't stop the Sox now.

Cease seems like one of those guys if you don't hit off him early it's lights out after that.

Vaughn flashing those frying pan hands.

There seems to be zero explosion in Vaughn's swing right now. 2nd straight year his legs look gone come October.

Such a mechanical swing.

Cease doesn't get enough credit for his dependability. I don't believe he's missed a start since debuting in the majors.

32 starts in consecutive years is very impressive.

He needs to get in better shape. It's fine if he had fatigue last year since it was his rookie year. But there's no excuse for it this year.

There is this question of toughness.

I've been thinking this all year long.  Dude goes out every start and pitches no matter what.  For three straight years (if you add together his callup in 2019 and the shortened 2020 year) that's damn impressive.

He just seems to lack so much athleticism

Clevinger is gonna throw a Maddux at this rate.
