October 9, 20223 yr Gotta feel for Jays fans after that game. That's one of the worst losses I've ever seen in my life.

October 9, 20223 yr So what exactly is different about deGrom this year? The guy is still throwing 100+. The location doesn't look terrible. Yet guys had no chance against him last year but he actually looks hittable this year.

The slider is definitely closer to the zone in ‘22.

October 9, 20223 yr Ravech just asked about Edwin Diaz being able to go 4 innings. ESPN letting Benetti out the door is insanity.

I think they want him to get the top and middle of the order out and have Ottavino pitch to the bottom of the order. Not the worst idea but if it blows up people are all gonna ask why they didn't save Diaz for the 9th.

October 9, 20223 yr Buck learned his lesson from not going to Britton in the 2016 WC game. I wouldn't have brought Diaz out for a 2nd inning, but at 28 pitches, he should be fine for tomorrow.
