Oh Ramos

Right when I was thinking his defense looked good today.

Shades of Gordon Beckham...

"Red Sox-Braves game ends after pitch clock violation called for final out. Saturday's Red Sox-Braves spring training game ended with an automatic third strike called on Atlanta batter Cal Conley for not getting set in the box before the pitch clock hit eight seconds."

What's going to be the new terminology for this?  Walk off doesn't quite work.

Why would you throw down on that Perez?

Edit: nvm, I thought there was a guy on 3rd.

I got this nagging feeling the boys won't pull this one out today.

Are there any players left with names on their jerseys?

Games won't end in a tie during the season. Just would've been extra innings with a K recorded as the last out in the 9th.

Needed a little more confidence making that call. But the catcher should have been more organized there in the first place. As I say this, Perez makes a wide throw to second

So they CAN shift. But it has to be an outfielder into the dirt?

Burger has outrageous raw power, man

Stoney in midseason form on that Burger homer

Burger good

Fathom's fave...if only he had a defensive position.

That's some crazy power by Burger

Satchel Paige on the mound?

I can totally see this team using Burger/Sheets/Eloy rotation in RF/DH if Colas struggles in ST and doesn't make the team.

He hits em like Karko

Paging Ron Washington to work with Burger everyday at 3B.

I know Colas hit well against lefties last year but easing him in as mostly a strongside platoon guy is fine with me. That leaves ABs for Burger at DH against lefties if they're serious about mixing Eloy into the OF sometimes.

Luis Mieses looks like a left handed Eloy...like all the way down to the batting gloves and elbow guard.

Unfortunately Stoney...the Guardians are perfectly set up for the new style of baseball that's going to emerge because they've already perfected it.

Colas looks intimidating at the plate. All I got so far.
