OK, so who's responsible for the bad team? RICK FUCKIN HAHN.

Pedro? Who cares. What does arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic do?

Our philosophy is to blame.  The guys just aren’t tough outs.  That’s the whole problem   They don’t play THE GAME.

Look for the pitch you want until you have 2 strikes.  then shorten and foul off a bunch of pitches and put it in play.

These clowns chase anything close strikes 1 and 2 and then swing just as hard strike 3.  So dumb.

We’re all sport and no game.

I firmly and vehemently disagree with the notion that this team is being dramatically held back by managing and that you can somehow see that because one starter had an excellent game against a team with its own offensive issues. 36 year olds who have lost fastball velocity but can still have an occasional good game aren’t being held back by their manager.

This is just a plain old bad team. That doesn’t mean Pedro is any good, it just means that they’re a bad baseball team. I don’t care if it’s Bobby Cox, Joe Torre, Joe Maddon, or Kevin Cash. They’d still be bad.

This is spot on. And the problem starts at the top - Rick, Kenny, and JR.

They are bad but I still believe there is better talent there than Grifol is getting nothing out of and just a terribly constructed roster.

I'd put the pitching staff right there with many.....the hitting should not be this atrocious.

I think you overrate the pitching staff.  Giolito is proven.  Other than that Cease is a one year wonder that throws 100 pitches in five innings too often.  Kopech is a never was.  Lynn is fat and washed up.  Then you have the family guy.

And the hitters are worse.

Bah, the White Sox weren't the best run franchise in the big leagues under Kenny Williams, but they were quite good. They were one of the top 5 teams in wins in the 2000s, won 90 games 2 years in a row, would have gone to the playoffs almost every year except 2007 under the current format, they developed a lot of talent internally, and Kenny actually had big wins in both trades and free agency. It didn't always work, they also had big flops in both of those areas, they had years where they fell apart, and they developed an intolerable rift between management and coaching, but it wasn't bad and it wasn't lightning in a bottle. They were a decently run franchise, and decently run franchises sometimes put everything together.

I largely agree,  but the internally developed talent, most of which came from the late 90s and early naughts,  was drying up pretty quickly.  Although he made several terrible trades and others that were sort of lose-lose, he made enough nifty ones to keep the Sox winning.

Any way you slice it, he's 10X Hahn, who doesn't have a feel for anything.  It's just disappointing that KW hasn't stepped in to stop this nonsense.

It is a bad baseball team that is being out played by other bad baseball teams.   There seems to be zero direction for this team and organization.

The talent is there, it is very flawed but it is there and compared to other organizations there is more of it.  I did not think the Dodgers or Mariners were better then the Sox for those three game series.  The manager is now showing as he is being pushed by the media and the situation is not improving that he is not qualified for the job.  Although I am not certain if that matters.

I know they are not firing him and sadly I am not certain anything changes this offseason.  I view the White Sox as circling the drain until Jerry dies.  Until he is dead and they sell I think they head toward being a $100M salary that is what it is and nobody will give a s%*# about them except for a handful of fans and there is nothing we can do about it.

Grifol is clueless and is getting nothing out of this team.  This is Hahn's guy and both should be escorted out of town

The talent is not there, as 3 Yeats of data shows. We are the 5th worst team at best, comparing us to the Dodgers is laughable.

KW is ready to retire and lives in Arizona. As I was told over the winter, “I don’t know if his contract is up in 2023 or 2024 but I think he’s already checked out.”

This should really have been blown up in 2011 or 2012 with Kenny, Hahn and Ozzie all gone and a clean slate for a new baseball regime.

I believe Hahn wasn't Kenny's first choice just like Cito was his choice over Ozzie, but Hahn was a Reinsdorf family friend and Jerry makes every meaningful decision.

Kenny publicly dissed Hahn for years, with the Training Wheels and other comments. This gave Hahn a decade of excuses with Kenny taking the blame for anything bad, taking credit for pawning everything he inherited good from Kenny, plus Eaton 1.0, Hahn's one shining moment.

The team and especially bullpen that the Dodgers ran out there last week was not them at their best.  That was my point.  The White Sox are light years behind the Dodgers as an organization.

My main point is that he flaws of the White Sox.....to me.....are no greater then many teams and especially those in the AL Central and is what I find frustrating.  I am ok with the product being inferior to the professionally run organizations that just part of being a Sox fan.  I am frustrated with the stupidity of the manager and GM to piss away another season in the horrendous AL Central.

We are seeing with the new schedule how bad the AL and NL Central really are.
