Mixed feelings about this one.

Always nice to get the win.

But...

Hit four home runs...naturally all of them are solo shots.

And the bullpen yet again blew a late lead...luckily though it didn't cost them in the end.

Graveman gets out of it.

Gatorade is for closers

Might seem obvious but Grifol should get some credit for PH Sheets, Remi pinch run, Remi SB all right before the Andrus GW RBI

Win is a win they aint all pretty.

I don't care if an infield popup gets caught in a sudden whirl wind for a HR if it means winning.

The pitching staff for the most part has been pretty darn good for almost 2 months.

One run over three and a third innings. Usually that is considered good

Big crowd of over 33,000 saw a wonderful White Sox victory.  Hopefully they will win the series tomorrow!!!!

Playing Tim at this point is every bit as bad if not worse than when they were playing Robert injured last year. At least Robert was still OK in the field.

Burger, Vaughn and Robert have a lot of home runs. You'd think we might have a better record with some HR pop like that.

That said, nice win over the Red Sox. Good stolen base and hit by Elvis to win it.

Weird team. That said we'll take the W any ol day. Nice win.

They have been which means three or four of them should bring back something decent in trades in a month.

Crunch time what happened?

Single...stolen base...WILD PITCH, game tying bloop hit.

Don't let the guy get to third and the bloop hit may not have scored him.

The bottom line is with this horrific offense Sox pitchers have no room...none...for mistakes. Nada.

It's not fair but that's the way it is, especially late in the game which has already seen the most expensive bullpen in baseball take a lead into the 7th inning or later NINE times ...and lose the game.

Crunch time came and they gave up one run over three and a third innings. If the bullpen came in the sixth inning of a one run game and giving up one run over the span results in the loss of the lead, the offense blew it not the bullpen. Any bullpen is going to blow one run leads if they have to protect it inning after inning  over and over again. Haven’t seen too many with 0 ERAs.

Nah there were 2 outs and the runner was very fast . Even if he was on 2nd he would have scored easy on a blooper. The only way he might not have scored would be on a rocket  single right at an OF with a strong arm and the Sox don't have many of those.

You're exactly right about solo homers. That is why the OBP% is so important. The Sox are last in walks and other ways to get on base. The are last in OBP at .292.

Braves - HR's - 1st, OBP - 1st, Runs - 3rd - W-L - 2nd

Rays - HR's - 3rd, OBP - 3rd, Runs - 2nd - W-L - 1st
