How about don't put your dick in a blender and press the on button like last night today, or is that too hard for you Sean and George?

We need to draft a RB, WR, DT and TE ALL in the next two rounds only before the draft thins out, having two selections AND without trading up OR trading future or roster assets because that shouldn't have to fucking happen if you don't waste a first on the strongest position on the roster.

I'm sure the two geniuses in Dove Valley will figure out how to get 4 players today with only two picks and without sacrificing present or future assets to do so.

f*** you.

The 2nd tight end on the lions had 17 targets last year.

Lions offense was best in nfl and they werent doing that with two tight ends. Kmet caught 47 of 55 total targets last year. There just isn't much room to improve the outcomes of that room. The gain is minimal at best. If Loveland plays in the slot it'll be once or twice a game, he certainly can't exist there more frequently.

I'm far from an expert on players and their future outcomes, but I have a better understanding of team building and where to invest resources and what the bears are doing hasn't been a recipe for success historically.

Again, their “2nd tight end” was a blocking TE who got 600 snaps while LaPorta got nearly 1,000 snaps as the move TE.  Both roles are needed in Johnson’s offense.  If you think Kmet is overkill as the inline TE with some receiving ability, then he can always be traded in the future to free up additional cap space and be replaced with a pure blocking TE.  But Kmet is not a move TE / big slot player like Loveland is.  These are more or less effectively different positions.

I would say Ray is right though, this pick is ultimately not to coexist with Kmet.

Bears need more players that can play on time in this system. It’s not just Caleb. Keenan, kmet were slow off the line and to get to their spots. Loveland is getting those targets.

You’re right, the pick is to play a key role in Johnson’s offense and will likely eat into Kmet’s target share.  But that doesn’t mean the two can’t coexist and that doesn’t mean Kmet’s ability as a pass catcher will go to waste.  Ultimately, Cole is still a good blocking TE and will get a ton of snaps.  Maybe it’s somewhat inefficient to pay him $12.5M for that role, but it’s not like he’s going to be riding pine because of the addition of Loveland.  I know you’re not suggesting that, but that’s perception of others when they say “we already have a TE”.

Agreed. I think the stats someone quoted were that last year Detroit ran the 12 package 33% of the time, the largest in the league. With the quality of Kmet that's probably even higher this year.

Ofc the QB the Titans are now replacing was one of those rare second rounders due to the rookie contract/4th and 5th year control issues.

One almost has to think Sanders goes to CLE, since that front office and ownership group remains a circus as well.

I have to think Cleveland (33,36) Raiders(37) and Saints (40) is where he falls at this point.  If he makes it past the Saints, then Shadeur really hurt himself in the drafting interview process and the NFL doesn’t think his talent outweighs the attitude

Having watched a ton of Colorado games...I question a lot of the same things, escapability and elusiveness at the next level, holding on to the ball way too long and taking an inordinate amount of sacks (2023 the OL was horrific though)...he doesn't have the plus plus arm strength to make amazing throws across hiis body but relied so much on Hunter's dynamic play-making skills on broken plays...just throwing up 50/50 balls  into the air and bring bailed out.

Jaden Milroe is pretty much out polar opposite model...more like Justin Fields, run first in 2023 and attempted to evolve into more of a drop back passer last year to mixed results with deBoer. Amazing arm and almost Vick or Jackson-esque running skills.

Factoring in father's interference factor, I'd bet on Milroe...

The father interference thing is a real concern, no staff wants to touch him because at the earliest hint of trouble fans will clamor for Prime to be the HC and Prime will find ways to get in the owners ear and undermine them behind the scenes.

He will fall into the 3rd.

Since we have 70 different corners now maybe package one of the lower guys with 51 to move up and get Henderson.

No key personnel or any present or future picks above the 5th round should be moved.

It's their own fucking fault they wasted the first rounder on a luxury.

Wonder if they complete offensive help and draft the Minnesota OT next and than a back in next round?

Definitely focused on getting Caleb and Ben Johnson talent. They needed another wideout and they got a good one.

Poles drafting players from the team’s position of strength, apparently assuming that none of his offseason OL and DL acquisitions will be busts…

Yeah, this is gonna go well.

At least Caleb will have no excuses about not having enough weapons like Justin Fields, until the OL sucks again…

Ok would I have taken another skill guy? No.

Do I love Luther Burden, have so many special memories of Luther burden, and now get to watch him for the bears? f*** yes, I do.

I don’t mind - we haven’t had a real offense ever. I’m good trying to build there and focus on defense next year. Number one goal is Caleb and getting this offense right.

Second round OTs have usually been fools gold anyway. I’d say an OT cap casualty is more likely

Yeah - I think I would take one of the guards.
