The fun thing is that before making a post like this, you just made a contention that we don't have enough pitchers for MLB, yet there is this entire list of AAA pitchers who are soooo important.  There are plenty of future relievers in that list at AAA, and plenty that would have been just fine in MLBs pen instead of wasting low level guys.  This also would have lightened this panic situation of too many pitchers in the minors.  Instead of this, we artificially blocked the guys from moving up by bringing in more pitchers at the top.  Realistically this is Chris Getz admitting that the guys at the top are guys he doesn't trust, and he'd rather block them with middle aged relievers than actually use them at the next level.

Chris Getz and I would like to order room service in this head of yours. Can you think a menu?

The problem is it’s all the same argument over and over again.  Every single transaction (outside of possibly Crochet) we have the same handful of posters debating the same topics.  And I have partake

Does Chris know, or is the restraining order still in affect?

That's great news. The Cease trade is looking better and better.

"Old guy acquired in Cease trade cleared waivers after being DFA'd, thus improving trade" is certainly a viewpoint.

It’s just trolling from a dude who appears addicted to derailing every thread

Taking a victory lap because the guy wasn't good enough to be claimed by another MLB team is quite the flex.

Come on, Eddy's just having a little fun with it...laughing at himself, if anything.

30 1/2 is the new 27...

We managed to retain a reliever that not one other team in baseball wished to claim, even though he will only earn $190,000 more than the veteran minimum for 2025.  That’s a far cry away from the initial excitement about flipping Wilson for another prospect when he was first acquired in the Cease trade.  🤣

I always knew you were Getz’s special assistant!

"Despite the rough season, the White Sox tendered Wilson a contract for 2025 and avoided arbitration by agreeing to a $950K salary. They then bumped him off the roster when they claimed lefty Brandon Eisert last week. It seems none of the 29 other clubs were willing to grab Wilson at that price point, so he went unclaimed.

Wilson has three years of service time, which gave him the right to elect free agency. However, since he has less than five years of service, heading to the open market would have meant forfeiting that $950K. He’ll stick with the Sox and try to earn his way back onto the roster."
