Just wondering what most of you use...

Cable at home...dsl at work

cable at home and t-1 at work.

is it safe to be on a financial institution PC while on the internet?

I don't know what work's connection is, but at home I am currently using a 56K. After the house is finished being rebuilt I am getting DSL or cable, but probably DSL. (I know there is DSL available in my area finally, but I don't know about cable.)

Can't help it that DSL wasn't offered in the area of the city that I am in until about 6 months ago.

:fyou DSL internet providers.

You mean there is something better than my 2,400 baud external? Will I have to upgrade my 8086XT? I've heard there are color tv thingys instead of this amber and black I'm using.

You know I almost miss my TRS80 and Commodore VIC20 with the casette tape drive. Damn that was cool.

T3 here at ISU, 56K when at home...I'm moving into my own apartment hopefully within the next 10 or so months, when I will purchase a cable modem.

Not a clue. I am on the MSU server, and it goes fast and I have heard it called broadband. No idea what the connection is.

Just got cable at home to replace my old 56k dial up. :bringit

Suprisingly so, but you can only get it from 2 or 3 providers. Plus I hav a download limit of 3 gig which is the largest u can get. I don't think you can get unlimitied downloads on cable down here, on 56k u can though but it's way too slow.

I would guess if you have AOL you either have 56 K or AOL broadband. Both of which are slow.

Otherwise just ask your parents if they pay for any high speed internet connection.
