As I have posted in the past those teams that have to play a number of home games in warm weather or domes before May get "compensated" in the form of addition revenue from MLB for the "difficulty" (LOL) of having to take on such a "burden" so that fans don't have to sit through miserable weather to say nothing of the athletes having to try to play in it.

While I agree with your thoughts in this thread generally speaking, society is so toxic about men showing emotion, this really doesn't bode well for Roki. There was already some concerns about his makeup given the pressure of a big market, and sports will eat you alive for this perceived weakness. Your own manager will lose trust in you if you can't manage the ups and downs. 

The last space perceived toxic masculinity is going to die out will be in sports clubhouses. 

Sometimes I'm envious of men who can express themselves emotionally, as I don't, but this isn't a space in which I'm envious because he has to overcome this to survive in MLB imo.

Baseball's a seasonal game. Weather happens. It's not "stupid" of a sport to play a game on a cold day.

It is "stupid" when said sport is supposed to be played in good weather. This isn't football is it?

Zero reason for fans to have to sit through 37 degree weather or athletes to try to play under those conditions.

Yes weather happens but you can do something to mitigate those circumstances if (in this case) MLB wants to. There are reasonable solutions (i.e. $$$$$$ to teams having to play a lot of early season home games because they have good weather)

Then maybe every city should raise taxes and build domed stadiums, just to play all the games in climate controlled environments.

The White Sox still managed to lose the series to the lowly Angels because their offense was so lackluster, but they put up nine runs Monday against the Twins. Overall, it’s looking like a similar recipe for struggles to what we saw a year ago — better-than-expected pitching with an ill-equipped lineup — though this roster projects to be regular levels of bad, rather than the historic ineptitude demonstrated in 2024.

Or that being paid lots of money removes you from actually emotionally caring about playing well and winning. If you play bad, get injured, or lose, just count the money and post cool stuff online. Only dumb ass fans care about winning.

How about going back to a much shorter season. Maybe start in May. End the season in mid August and have expanded playoffs finishing in September. 

Hope they got the tarp on last night. It was pouring this morning.

Possibly although I think your time frame is to short.

I can see starting April 15 or so and ending around September 25.

Weather is something you deal with in our region. I recall going to game two with 27F and snow.
