4/29 - Brewers @ Sox - 6:40pm

Recommended Posts

I wonder if such records are even kept but if so I'd love to know what they are for the following:

Most games three runs or less in a season

Fewest hits in a season

Worst average with runners in scoring position in a season

At the rate they are going this club should be close to if not ready to break the old marks.

The Sox began the homestand as one of five big-league teams without 100 runs scored yet, as one of three without 100 hits, third from the bottom in home runs and on-base percentage, and at the very bottom in batting average (.211), slugging (.326) and OPS (.612).

Manoah went down there and came back posting, like, a 3 ERA. It was a big meme until he came back and killed it.

Sad that it's like this with Colson, but I wouldn't read much into it, be optimistic that he has the brainpower to make the appropriate adjustments.

"Brewers 7, White Sox 2: Taking advantage of lowly White Sox's mistakes a recipe for success"

CHICAGO – The Milwaukee Brewers, at the very least, are not the Chicago White Sox. That we can safely assume.

The Brewers erased a 2-1 deficit by putting up six runs across three innings late to come away with a 7-2 win over the White Sox at Rate Field on April 29. And they did it by putting only three base hits out of the infield after the first inning.

A four-run sixth inning made the difference for the Brewers, who took the lead through walks, infield singles and a hit by pitch. They then tacked on two more runs in the eighth without hitting a single ball out of the infield.

"I mean, we took advantage of free bases," Brewers manager Pat Murphy said. "We got some infield hits, took advantage of free bases, ran a little bit. We executed when he had to on a cold night like tonight."

Didn't watch a single pitch of the game but it's amazing that they lost 7-2 in a game they should have won.

Not with that offense. SOX only had 4 hits and 1 after the 1st inning.
