Since he is on the 40, I think he has a great shot at getting called up in that role this season. He has been on Boston’s 40 for a couple of years, so his options are dwindling and the Sox did not have a ton of time to be patient with him. More concerning to me is the way they’re using Taylor. Tonight 1IP 1H 0bb 3K. He seems on the fast track to closer town and he is not running out of options.

Hopefully he gets 60-80 to progress as a starter.

Far many players drafted far higher have failed way more than that. I trust the Sox with their pitching. The one thing they seemingly get right more often than not.

May 18, 2025May 18 They might just have Taylor on an innings limit. He hasn't pitched in 2 years. I hope he stays a starter. He really has the ability to be great.

Hagen is skipping starts Gonzalez is in the pen. Dutch's stuff is down, but with him going deeper into games that isn't a huge problem yet.
