Beni being the highest paid player on this team and sporting a sub-.700 OPS is a good reason this team is garbage. Luis Robert too. Both overpaid and bad.

This year I thought he was in the .260 range but it's only .219. 2017, 18 and 21 he was pretty good. I guess if he is under .250 I shouldn't love him too much. I still think he'd be of value to a contender.

The infield with Vargas, Meidroth, Sosa and Elko should have been given more time. Yes Sosa is not the best defender but he has a strong arm to turn double plays, has decent range and above all, he is starting to hit. Elko needed another week or two to adjust. Now the Sox are going to really jumble the infield mix in by bringing up Colson. I have a feeling he is not going to hit, will make errors at SS and there will be calls to DFA him.

They're not going to DFA a consensus Top 20-30 MiLB prospect after less than 2-3 months of struggles at the big league level. https://www.thebaseballcube.com/content/player/4623/ Joe Borchard spent 4 years going and down between the minors and Chicago, and nearly 300 at-bats over 100 games before they finally pulled the plug and did a "change of scenery" trade with the Mariners for LHR Matt Thornton before the 2006 season. Attendance wasn't bad, and the fans were into the game. For the first eight innings, the Sox almost looked like a major league team. And i couldn't believe it, but Sox employees were helpful and courteous. But then came the predictable ninth inning collapse. Goofy stuff all over the place, and again, the Sox were exposed for the bad team they are. But at least Jake Burger got a homer and a double. Oh, wait a minute, he doesn't play for the White Sox. And why wasn't the third base guarding the line in the ninth? And who is that third baseman? I don't think they do that anymore. Analytics took over. Good point, though. Colson is safe because Joe Borchard. True true lol
Lip Man 1
“I had a green light, and I was sitting on one look right there, and I got it. I wasn’t expecting (an) inside move. It’s just a well-timed inside move by them. Looking to be aggressive with one out, trying to get to third and give us an opportunity for a sac fly, passed ball, something like that.”--Michael Taylor

It's taking years and years to move on from Andrew Vaughn or an Oscar Colas, so not sure why Colson would be any different.
