Questions for all the experts on rebuilding vs keeping star players. Let's say the Sox had the Cubs' PCA. Would you all be in favor of trading him for prospects in the name of our rebuild? Or would our fans get to enjoy a star? I'm thinking the Sox would be shopping him for the cliche 3 stars in the making rather than actually enjoying a player for say 10 years. Not sure I trust the Sox way of building a WS champ.

Considering the Sox just traded Crochet for a package of prospects including Meidroth and Meidroth is actually a few months older than PCA, yes, the Sox would keep PCA.  PCA is a star in the making and isn’t a free agent until 2031.

Just amazing the split this year.

When they win a game it is usually a blowout...when they lose it is usually by one run.

Very strange.

The Sox losing so many games regardless of by how many runs is largely due to the fact that they do not hit many  home runs.

Compare Detroit. When they go up 4-5 runs with a home run or two, their starting pitchers cruise and then their pen has little pressure protecting big leads.

Detroit home run power is sick.

We could have used some of those runs in the Baltimore series.
