Reminiscent of Dylan Cease running up those high pitch counts, but 6 innings is fine considering how many innings he's already thrown this year compared to last (94 1/3).

He's been fine. Hasn't really had his best stuff but is battling. Our pen is so bad we need to get every inning possible. That said, agree that if he clearly doesn't have it next inning Will needs to be on it quick and not let them tie it.

Man Vargas swings through so much fucking cheese. He has a helluva eye but if he could make more zone contact he'd become a very good hitter instead of just above average.

He had a nice run but has cooled the last few weeks. Still drawing walks though.

Vargas is not good at 3B.

I don't get Vargas.  A couple-three weeks ago he made a Viva La Brooksie play, fielded the ball in foul territory and threw the runner out on the fly.  Now he skips a rock across the grass that the runner beats.  It's the fundamentals, guys.

Hitters and pitchers that get late starts on the season like Rojas almost always suffer this same fate.
