I know. Personally, just risk it and play both. Who the hell cares if you need to maybe pinch hit 2-3 times or let the pitcher bat once. Also, odds are the Catcher doesn't get hurt. Or just call

  • Getz clearly has no idea how to identify offensive talent. This is what happens when you hire from within when the offense is already failing.

I swear to god if I have to watch Beni on this team after the ASB...

Colson reminds me a bit of Matas disposition wise. That's a good thing.

Similar vibe, but Matas has more edge IMO. I was hoping for a meeting of the FRPs when the Bulls guys were at the park yesterday.

I'm very excited for Matas. He's the first guy since Derrick to where I think ok if he pans out he can legit be a #1 option. Bulls lucked into him.

Not just identify, but determine value.

Final score:  game called

Mercifully.

Funny this one got rained out. Checks out. I went outside to take a phone call and walk around the block during the 6th inning, there's a nice drizzle going on, it feels good because of how hot it's been and I'm still dripping sweat from my walk home and I figured I'd watch the game before taking a shower. Then I get to Taylor Street and the heavens open up and I start wondering "is this going on at SoxPark? it didn't the last time". Moral of the story is I got soaked and the Sox lost. Massive L. Rojas hit a homer though????? He's been reading SoxTalk.

If they don't straighten this out quickly, they'll be marching into the All-Star break on another patented 8 game losing streak.

And not even using the time to maximize experience/audition for young players.

Toronto is one of the hottest teams in baseball, 3.5 games ahead of the Yanks atop the AL East... so there is that.  Sox have a huge talent deficiency, especially compared to the top teams. Explains the W/L record.  Keep fighting though.

Comments: 1.) Civallo was awful. Meatballs.

2.) Jays are hot and smart to not take the Sox for granted. Teams that beat up on the Sox do well in the standings.

3.) Good to see Montgomery keep it up and get a hit.

4.) This game was like the old days. Sox got boatraced.

Kudos to fathom. He has posted a long time and yet never offends anybody or acts like a know it all. Some of us have poster flaws on occasion. Fathom is an MVP poster IMO.

And 1/2 of the starting 10 for this rebuilding team is 30 or over.

It's ridiculous.   They just aren't serious.

No doubt Sox have a weird roster.

I disagree.  He knows how bad this team is and yet he still takes his kids to Sox games.  It’s his own twisted form of punishment when his kids don’t get straight A’s or eat all of their vegetables.

Tauchman should be the only vet in the lineup.
No need for both Taylor and Slater on the roster.

He does look like he's mailing it in.  Beni, not God.
