DirtySox
Quote 273 C Rylan Galvan Texas HOMETOWN: Sinton, Texas HEIGHT: 6-0 WEIGHT: 195 BAT/THROW: R-R Galvan, a physical right-handed catcher with strong defensive skills, has also shown improvement at the plate in his three seasons with Texas. Packed into a stout, 205-pound frame, he is a steady receiver with strong hands and blocking ability. Galvan gets compact behind the plate with good hip flexibility and works from a one-knee setup. In 2025, he has controlled the running game effectively and possesses above average arm strength with a quick exchange that can supplement his pop times. While raw power is his primary offensive tool, he struggled to derive value from it in his first two seasons with Texas due to frequent swings and misses. However, as a junior, he significantly reduced his strikeout rate and has demonstrated a good ability to lay off pitches out of the zone. It's a glove-over-bat profile that will need to slug at the next level to carve out a platoon role as a big leaguer. Galvan is draft-eligible for the second year in a row at 22 years old. DirtySox
Quote 237. Rylan Galvan C Ht: 6'0" | Wt: 185 | B-T: R-R School: Texas Drafted/Committed: Never Drafted Age At Draft: 22.1 Galvan is a physical, righthanded catcher with strong defensive skills who has also progressed with the bat in his three seasons with Texas. Listed at 6-foot, 215 pounds, Galvan is a steady receiver with strong hands and blocking ability. He folds up nicely behind the plate with good hip flexibility and works from a one-knee setup. Galvan has controlled the running game well in 2025 and has above-average arm strength with a quick exchange that can help his throws play to the 1.90-second range at his best. Galvan had a career-best offensive season in 2025, where he topped the 1.000 OPS mark for the first time and slashed .296/.452/.613 with 15 home runs. His raw power is perhaps his carrying offensive tool and he manages top-end exit velocities north of 110 mph, but he does have below-average contact ability and a career 29.2% strikeout rate. He has mitigated that somewhat by showing a patient, selective approach and walking at a high clip—a career 16.3% walk rate—but his pure hit tool will be challenged more in pro ball. DirtySox
Quote 558 RHP Max Banks Washington HOMETOWN: San Francisco, California HEIGHT: 6-4 WEIGHT: 225 BAT/THROW: R-R Following three seasons at Chapman University, Banks hit the transfer portal and relocated to Montlake where he headed the Huskies rotation in 2025. His size, physicality, durability and willingness to throw in multiple roles has scouts circling his name for the 2025 Draft. Banks is mostly a fastball/slider guy. The heater has been up to 95, but he usually works 90-92 after the second inning of each starter. He generates moderate carry on the fastball and naturally cuts the ball a bit. It's a unique look for hitters who have shown a willingness to chase the fastball out of the zone at inordinate levels in 2025, especially for a guy throwing in the velocity band Banks lives. Banks can miss bats at the top of the zone but his fastball shouldn't be characterized as a bat-misser. An ultra-high launch and slighly below average extension gives him the look of an over-the-top javelin thrower, something surely playing into his deception and unique fastball quality. A big sweeping slider is Banks primary put-away weapon and it's got the chance to be a very good one. He's been up to 87 with the breaker and will usually sit 81-83 with strong lateral break and plenty of depth. Banks can miss bats at a better clip with the sweeper, however it's not presently consistently the above-average weapon it could someday eventually become. There's a bigger curveball as well as a changeup he'll deploy to left-handed hitters, though neither possess the teeth that his one-two punch does. Banks isn't a strikeout artist. He's not a guy who is going to blow it by hitters. But he limits hard contact better than most in the country and has enough value on his fastball and breaking ball to get selected in 2025. Banks turned 22 years old just a couple months before the Draft. Edited July 14 by DirtySox
DirtySox
Quote 379 RHP Caedmon Parker TCU HOMETOWN: Montgomery, Texas HEIGHT: 6-4 WEIGHT: 190 BAT/THROW: R-R An 11th round pick by the Brewers in 2024, Parker elected to go back to TCU to help improve his draft stock. He's up into the mid-90s with two breaking balls with huge spin rates and a burgeoning changeup. Whether he can remain in a starting role will dictate how high or low his stock can rise or fall. It's a good body and the stuff is loud. The strikes must improve. He is draft-eligible for the second time as a redshirt junior. DirtySox
Quote 441. Caedmon Parker RHP Ht: 6'4" | Wt: 185 | B-T: R-R School: TCU Drafted/Committed: Brewers ’24 (11) Age At Draft: 22.1 Parker has been on draft radars for years, first as a projection righthander in high school and later as a BA 500 prospect in the 2024 class out of TCU. The Brewers drafted him in the 11th round, but he elected to not sign and returned to Fort Worth for his fourth year and third healthy season in college. A 6-foot-4, 190-pound righty, Parker sits around 92-94 mph and touches 96 with his fastball. He also has an upper-70s curveball, mid-80s changeup and low-80s slider with plenty of spin and movement. Parker’s individual pitches grade out well metrically, but he missed less bats in 2025 and has yet to tie it all together. Perhaps a pro pitching development program can help him unlock more consistency and stick in a rotation. DirtySox
Quote 424 OF Kaleb Freeman Georgia State HOMETOWN: Gainesville, Georgia HEIGHT: 6-0 WEIGHT: 202 BAT/THROW: B-R COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Texas What a winding road it has been for Freeman. Stops at North Georgia and Auburn led him to Georgia State for this age-22 season in 2025. His game exploded. After throwing together some rather ordinary years on the baseball card, Freeman began hitting the ball with more authority in 2025 without sacrificing what has long been a very strong approach at the plate. He's a more accomplished and potent hitter from the left side, however he can hold his own as a right-handed hitter too. His feel for the barrel is a bit better as a right-handed hitter, but his raw power plays way up from the left side. Freeman is a pretty passive hitter and will draw strong walk rates and on-base numbers, however when he pulls the trigger his feel for launch to the pull-side stands out. The biggest hole in his game is the back-foot slider from left-handed pitchers. Freeman's setup at the plate certainly draws attention from scouts. From the left side it's an exaggerated look with his hands above his head, an arched back and tall setup. Freeman coils into a loaded hitting position and generates big bat speed because of it. From the right side it's far more ordinary and conventional. Freeman is an average runner who can play second base in a pinch but has largely been used in right field after catching at different points in his amateur career. He will be 22 years old for the Draft and will likely hear his name called as a model pick. That said, Freeman is committed to transfer to Texas for the 2026 season, leverage that may be too rich for teams to outbid.
