Baldwin is fucking legit guys.

I've been saying that just based on the frequency he's been hitting bombs in Charlotte despite going up and down like a yo-yo and little time on the IL.

Of course I'm always a bit bullish on prospects.

Just thought it was a little too early to pigeon-hole him as a super utility when they need OFs.

Fun Brooks Baldwin fact: he has homers in both of the MiLB ballparks in rotation this season (Steinbrenner and SAC) and in both cases was the first Sox to hit one.

Kinda. Don't really know why some people were running with the idea that it was about effort or something. https://soxmachine.com/2025/07/white-sox-7-pirates-2-opening-second-half-with-first-sw

Looks really fun to be trying to throw a baseball in a swamp. They all look miserable.

Maybe they'll actually give him some consistent playing time...

It would be insane if they didn’t, especially post deadline when we should have gaping holes in the OF.

Burke doesn’t look good at all. I’ve noticed there’s no consistency in his velocity. Seems odd there’s a 3 mph difference from pitch to pitch.

Can it ever not be an adventure with Burke?

If the Sox get a DP here. They will win this game

Burke way too tentative with a 3-0 lead.

Colson still hanging in there and looking not like a deer in the headlights at least.

Should have been strike 3

Wonder if Burke is wearing down a bit or it's just the hot/humid weather?

I think he’s a prototypical Dodgers UT guy in that he plays everyday, but can move around based on the needs of the team.

Or he’s just very inconsistent

Good play by Vargas

I don’t think he’s going to be playable against LHP, which is fine. That’s one thing that isn’t as difficult to find (ie..slater)

Well s%*#, what now?!

Burke has alot of work to do in the offseason

Very reminiscent of younger Chris Taylor if he can pick up on the stolen bases...

Burke looks extremely uncomfortable but so far it has worked.  I hope he can have a relatively quick couple innings and go deep into this game

First full big league season with that many starts...will probably want to rest him.

Shockingly I have more confidence in the bullpen than the starters right now.

Chase is back

I think he could play LF every day . Settle him in there and maybe his bat will follow.

Chase has found it again. Hell yeah.

I just noticed there is not 1 player in the lineup below .200... I think that is a first for the season

Have we seen how his arm looks?

Still need him Quero Teel and Chase to pick up more XB hits eventually...but tonight looks like he's turning corner against a tough RHP.
