Fun Brooks Baldwin fact: he has homers in both of the MiLB ballparks in rotation this season (Steinbrenner and SAC) and in both cases was the first Sox to hit one.

Kinda. Don't really know why some people were running with the idea that it was about effort or something. https://soxmachine.com/2025/07/white-sox-7-pirates-2-opening-second-half-with-first-sw

AKA a minor league stadium

That’s true.

Colson going outside the zone...prevented another Robert SB.

The Meidroth, Vargas reawakening coming slightly after the Robert reawakening plus some very big and clutch hitting  led to all this offense.

Plus the BP has been on a pretty good run lately too.

Vargas or Robert?

Burke battling to get a win with 85 pitches into the fifth.

I was never a Gavin Floyd hater, but I bet the way I feel towards Burke is how some of you felt about Gavin Floyd

Burke c'mon.

Venable gave him all the chances un the world to get the win but leadoff walk doomed him.

So I have a question, does Chase get negative 2 DRS for last inning or would Tauchman?

The difference is Floyd was a top prospect and Burke kind of quietly snuck in there with his stuff for a lower round draft pick.

The ballpark has the same dimensions as Yankee Stadium.

They did a nice job giving the Yanks Spring training facility a few things like the outfield facade that remind fans of Yankee stadium.

Split seems fairest..can't be two each logically.

Both starters go exactly four IP lol.

Venable says enough of that walk BS . Just 4 innings for Burke .No earned runs but the runner on 1st is his run if he scored.

Burke walked the tightrope too 😋 but generally hung in there.

Too careful with Caminero...can easily lead to a three run homer.

Or not.

LHBers can't touch Gilbert.

Wilson coming in...

Burke was exhausted

I have idea how they figure DRS but it can't only be obvious run saving or gave up plays.

With an assist from Burke...

How many starters have been pulled in the fifth inning with an 8-2 lead and chance for an individual win?

Burke can be a solid#3 starter if he can just get a little more command.  He has good enough stuff.  He just gets behind to many hitters.

But let's all be honest.  He is having a better year than any of us would have predicted

Some of you are being incredibly tough on pitchers up by 6 pitching in awful conditions.
