Schriff and Plesac were a really good listen

Schriff is a lot better with sign language instead of speaking.

I defended Schriffen last year because I didn’t feel he deserved all the hate. I’d still say some of the reactions to him are over the top, but he’s not a great listen.   I like that he doesn’

Jason to me is like a nice cup of tea or coffee that's ruined by too much sugar. If he could just stick to calling the game without so many puns and jokes it would be a very nice experience.  Joh

  • Schriffen is nowhere near as grating as Benetti for my taste.  I have a Detroit fan friend who can't believe the nonsense he brought with him.  I'll take Schriffen's shtick any day.

Ready to watch this on WCIU the U, which used to be Univision for those old enough to remember.  Then it was Home Shopping Network for a few years until a much ballyhooed rebrand to "the U", which was meant to be a cool, hip channel for young urban people.  They even had a dance party usa knockoff called "U Dance".  Kinda cringe, but I remember the rebrand like it was yesterday.

Good to see baseball back on it.  Ironically, 62.2 is showing baseball rn too, but it's bananaball, for those of you who need an appetiser before the main course.

Radar looks completely fine at the moment. Some isolated storms in southern Chicagoland.

Let's fucking go!

Why do they keep saying Colson is the first Sox rookie to homer in 3 straight? He's the 10th. Last accomplished by apalka.

AI Overview
Yes, Colson Montgomery is the first rookie in White Sox history to hit a home run in three consecutive games. This achievement was noted after he homered in the White Sox's 12-5 win against the Cubs on Friday, July 25, 2025.

he's the 10th, AI search results have been notorious for being inaccurate

Always liked the hat though it does not match the uni. That's how they rolled.

Yea I knew as soon as he posted that it was cause AI was wrong. It's wild how AI can pickup the wrong s%*# if you're a sports fan you see it all the time in google results for streaks and such.

Piss Crap Asswipe starting in CF. I had to work today and I'm a few beers in, let's go.

Vargas: what's oppo mean?

Ouch.

Getting another early lead would have been huge there.

Let him see it. If he has 4 hits yesterday he's seeing the ball well either way. Let him get some knocks from the other side to build confidence and improve. This is the time to give him the opportunity. I hate the idea of just settling him as a platoon guy.

Him being 22 and already up doing pretty well tells you he's better than the other guys were at his age. Now it's just a matter off how much better he can get against RHP.

Being good just against LHP doesn't get you a great career, it gets you niche employment like Slater. He had a hit LH yesterday and a SacFly RBI, so those were 2 productive ABs. I'm going to trust most of the young guys have not reached their peak yet.

Colson Montgomery I'd be thrilled if he was what he looks like now getting .7 fWAR every 17 games.

Don't call him a superstar, Schriffen. I don't want to hear it.
