chitownsportsfan
That's a clean 7 runs a game scored since the break now. Beat some good teams. Playing some good ball really. Nice to see them finally taking advantage of their home park via the summer long ball. 1 1
chitownsportsfan
Lol, who is this clown on the post game for Philly trashing the Sox? Let's be honest if you knew nothing of the two teams headed into this series you'd say Chicago was by far the more talented lineup.

It's really exciting to see Colson go the other way on breaking stuff. He needs to trust his bat speed and stay balanced. Going to be a battle for him his entire career but boy his raw power is unmatched in our org. I can't remember the last time we had a young lefty power slugger, let alone one capable of playing SS. Miguel murdered that ball on his homer They threw him a high fastball after he'd scuffled all night against junk. He crushed it. Wow, Colson with the two of hardest hit balls of the night. 113mph on his lineout. Vargas and Quero took advantage of our park, summer and LA, as their HR were 98 and 97. But that's what you gotta do here. Edited July 31 by chitownsportsfan
CaliSoxFanViaSWside
17 hits. 7 in a row most by any team this year. Two 3 run HRs in the same inning for the 1st time by a Sox team since 2018. 1

But that's what you gotta do here. You know people are sick about hearing Schiffren talk about the Vargas hand placement. This is what's coming next. Sox data showed Colson would be a good candidate for the Torpedo bat. I think the 2nd game of the TB series was when he changed to that bat. Since then he's been hitting the cover off the ball. This is the new stuff they're using in R & D. Like it or not it's not the same old Sox. It is the same old owner but that'll change.
vilehoopster
Houser has been the Sox best pitcher this year. I don't think anyone can reasonably argue with that. But also, I don't think anyone can reasonably argue against Vasil has been their 2nd best pitcher this year. I'm not talking about potential, but plain results and consistency for this year. I am ecstatic about Shane Smith and how he appears that he is going to be an outstanding starter for the Sox for years to come, but right now, Vasil has out performed him so far this year. I'm pretty excited about Mike Vasil going forward with the White Sox also.

I def give Venable credit for being a perfectly cromulent rebuild manager. First decent hire at manager since Renteria. Autumn Dreamin
Lots of (deserved) attention on the rookies, but props to Sosa for coming in off the bench to knock in the go ahead run. He has quietly gone 24 (!!!) PAs without a strikeout, with 10 hits and a walk during that K-less streak. Still an aggressive swinger (the RBI was on a pitch out of the zone) but cutting down the K rate would be big for him.

He's not the fastest guy , about as fast Beni . 26.8 ft/sec for Beni , 26.7 for Sosa. Surprising sprint speeds after the top 2 Robert and Baldwin Tim Elko 27.8 Korey Lee 27.7 Kyle Teel 27.7 Michael A.Taylor 27.
