Why in the world would you go fastball when the hitter didn’t come close to hitting two breaking balls!!!

Burke and Cannon just do not have the control needed to be MLB pitchers. It just is what it is man. They've had a lot of chances this year to prove otherwise.

Burke’s command is just consistently awful

Come on Teel

Monty due for another bomb

For the first time in awhile the team looks dis-interested.

Almost had a near repeat of the 1st inning Tauchmand and Colson on 1 & 2 while Teel and Sosa K, only this time Mead also K's instead of an RBI single.

They’re definitely more depth type guys and basically at their ceilings IMO. As always, would happily be proven wrong.

Goes for a lot of these guys. I see maybe 7-8 potential starters on this roster (which isn’t bad)

Burke didnt get another strike 3 call. Just a perfect curve got all of the low inside corner 2 pitches later he gets the K.

Ump missed another easy strike . And Burke walks Jackson

  • Author

This ump has no idea how Burke's curve catches the zone.

Big out here...

Phew

I sense a momentum shift after that. Sosa HR INC!

Fletcher just missed the HR barely went foul.

Fletch doubles to RCF gap instead.

Fletcher can hit.

Awful at bats with runners on so far tonight.... Let's turn it around Teel!

That was pathetic by Tauch.

Maybe I’m crazy but I feel like Burke’s stuff could play up as a reliever.

Burke pitched 4 innings after Gilbert's 1. 2 hits, 1 R ,1ER ,4 K , 4 BB , 1HBP. ERA now 4.29  .

Ump score card won't be good.

It would play up as a starter too . Needs more command to be a SP or RP.Doesnt help when the curve is so good like tonight that the ump cNt call the strikes low but definitely in the zine a few time .I mean perfect pitches called balls.
