October 2, 2025Oct 2 Estrada in...3-0 lead is about all this offense can overcome, and Taillon looks really good so far. This was a game SD had to get an early lead on the road and keep the crowd out of it.

I know a few people that work for the Cubs that were ecstatic he was starting because they knew he didn’t have enough to hurt their lefties.

October 2, 2025Oct 2 Padres pen just can't cover 8+ innings at this point. Had to win G1 and they left a 3-4 run early lead on the basepaths.

That's what happens when you cut payroll down from $325-350 million all the way down to $200ish. Which is still $150 more than Sox next year lol. Ofc the odds of making the post season next year without Arraez King Cease and Suarez and nothing left in the minors aren't all that great.
October 2, 2025Oct 2 Lucky to get out of that only 2-0. Tigers nearly let the Guardians completely back in the game.

They're gonna be paying him when he's 41.

October 2, 2025Oct 2 Darvish and Bogaerts deals are what really weigh down the franchise. Musgrove has to come back at 100% or the rotation is just way too thin without another miracle signing like they got in Pivetta. King/Vasquez are going to have to pitch in this at some point to cover 8. Estrada can go 2 but it might not even matter. SD hitters really frustrated.

October 2, 2025Oct 2 Hinch was looking like he was going to end up getting fired a week ago. Resilient bunch. Bogaerts isn't a good SS either. PS: PCA is a jackass.
