Imagine pitching Soroka AND Civale in a playoff game. They are this close to a position player pitching.

Brad Keller is their best reliever lol. I'm not sure if they should feel bad for taking our rejects or we should feel bad that someone else is getting something out of our rejects.

  • I see people on Reddit shitting on the Sox for this trade and some Sox fans regretting it. Hell no lol. Vaughn was never going to amount to s%*# on the Sox. Having him sink the Cubs was probably the b

Man i haven't stopped smiling the past 5 minutes. So happy for Vaughn to play on a real roster, and doubly happy for him fucking up the Cubs

Javier Assad apparently has like a 2.2 ERA against the Brewers this year. Seems like a better choice than a guy who was fading down the stretch and started three days ago

Great start, sounds like Chourio is done for a while though

Getting injured running to 1B is an embarrassment.  George Brett would still be playing, even after crapping his pants.

I know you gotta take the W, but would anyone have pulled Peralta early with the big lead and tried to pitch him again in Game 3?

Civale should have started, lol.  He’s dominated.

No. Save the bullpen, don't let the Cubs get in any kind of groove. Shut them down.

I think the Brewers just want this game over with at this point.

Haha, probably.  He just saved the Cubs bullpen for the series at the very least.

And so does Counsell.  What a terrible look for a manager to look so visibly defeated from the first inning.

The Cubs look exactly like they did against the Padres offensively. That's not going to work against the Brewers unless the Cubs pitching finds another gear.

Yeah, just a hypothetical baseball strategy thought.  But you don’t mess with an almost guaranteed win for a chance at one later.

I've never seen a manager sitting there with his hat off looking like that.

Exactly.  The commentators didn’t talk about it at all.  But the dude looked more defeated than the players immediately.  Terrible look for a manager.  I was shocked.

Who are we to question the ways of the highest paid manager in baseball?

I switched to the Yankees/Blue Jays game. Did Fox die for anyone else?

The storyline is funny as well.  Him taking the money to leave Milwaukee and then getting whooped by them in the playoffs.  But that $40 million dollars probably won’t make him regret his decision.

Also there's a pretty high correlation between repeat outings in a series and worse performance for relievers. No reason to give the Cubs extra looks at their pen.

Blue Jays opening this one up a bit.

Ohtani touched up for three after being on a late season scoreless run.

Have a feeling this series goes the distance.

Not sure what the heck Teoscar was doing defensively in the second...seems like he just gave up on the ball and let it get past him to the wall.

No way you can let Realmuto get to third there.

Shohei vs. Sanchez: 0-3, 3K

Colson vs. Sanchez:

Props to David Robertson for pitching in his 17th season.  Maybe shouldn’t have started this inning tho

The Phillies have reached the Find Out portion of the program

Ki-ke predictably unreal in postseason no matter what he does in the regular season.

Glasnow with his in between games throwing routine...feels like Freeman makes that scoop 9/10 times.

White Sox will eventually end up with Castellanos somehow...
