With all the talk about what Vaughn added to the Brewers since they called him up, I was thinking of a stat that could show how many wins he likely added since WAR wouldn’t really work. Here’s the definition for WPA: https://www.mlb.com/glossary/advanced-stats/win-probability-added

caulfield12
Ex Sox pitching on both screens. Kahnle and Rodon. Vaughn>>>Judge (lol) Which means Judge will break out of postseason xbh slumber... Aaron Judge has a .223 batting average with 53 hits, 16 home runs, 36 RBIs and 39 runs scored in 63 games in the postseason in his career Andrew Vaughn is hitting .364 with 4 hits, a home run, 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored in 4 games in the postseason in his career Edited October 8 by caulfield12
caulfield12
Without Woodruff and with Misiorowski struggling...Brewers would look to be in trouble against depth of LAD. Not to mention Trevor Megill in pen missing.

Also Megill pitched last night.

They're planning to start him and not just pitch him out of the pen? Isn't Uribe now functioning as closer?

whitesoxfan99
Rodon had absolutely nothing tonight. Not having a bullpen arm ready to go at the first sign of trouble is managing malpractice in a do or die game. But Aaron Boone is just an absolutely hideously bad manager so not surprising

Dodgers/Mariners perhaps most ideal. That's the problem with MLB - if one of the major market teams isn't in the WS every year, they think it's bad for the league. The rest of the country is just fly-over territory. The NBA had OKC and Indiana in the finals and the world didn't come crashing down on them. The NFL would probably be thrilled with a Buffalo-Green Bay Super Bowl.
