I think it would be fine to grab promising, but unranked, prospects in the low minors. They are obviously hoping he’s the guy he was in 2024, not 2025. But I doubt they are signing him to sit on the bench. He wouldn’t have signed with them to do that. And if they do, it'll be the same veteran 1 year 8-10 million dollar deal that has yet to ever work out. If I’m not mistaken you said that teams were offering the Cedric Mullins-type return to the Sox for Robert. If that’s the case take that at the deadline if it’s there if you are that desperate to get rid of him.
