"Kyler Murray isn’t the only NFL standout who had a real future in baseball if he’d wanted it. Scouts to this day wonder how high the Eagles’ A.J. Brown could have risen; some projected him to have even more talent at the plate than Murray. Brown signed with the Padres out of high school and worked out with the team while in college at Ole Miss, but obviously opted to stick with football."

He’ll obviously stick to the sport in which he can easily make millions, even as a backup QB, rather than trying to get back into baseball at the age of 28.

Good for the Dodgers, they care about winning unlike a bunch of other teams.

  • I have a really hard time viewing the Jerry Reinsdorf owned White Sox as victims. The system most designed to screw the Sox is the one JR operates.

The Dodgers lol.  This league is just dumb. Best is those who think there are no issues. "Free Market."

Yeah different story at 25.

Easier to go from failed baseball career to football.

We had two big time QB recruit with the Pirates in the mid 90s at Augusta.

Charles Peterson first rounder who turned down Alabama for draft pick signing bonus.  Failed.

Mark Farris failed at BB then went on to Texas A&M to play QB semi successfully.  Body/frame quite similar to Colson.

Thorpe did that before TJS right?

"Texas' Carter Baumler is a Rule 5 pick with late-inning-level stuff who was made available by the Orioles because he had thrown just 88⅔ innings over four pro seasons, only a handful of which were above A-ball.

He's showing above-average to plus stuff with his four-seam fastball, slider and curveball while also throwing enough strikes to be a real contributor to this year's big league club."

Luckily for SD, Buehler has had a solid ST

999 mph? that's pretty quick!

Ohtani had that internal brace/revision rather than full TJS? Guess it's just typical Shohei, whereas Buehler's now down at 93-94 well after his second.

Giolito to Padres? Must have real concerns with Musgrove recovery.

Red Sox Free Agent Lucas Giolito Projected to Sign With N...

While it's been apparent for months that Lucas Giolito wouldn't be re-signing with the Boston Red Sox, it's flummoxed many how long he's remained on the market.

His fastball is averaging 93.9 mph. Unfortunately, the next news on him may be announcing his retirement.

Meanwhile Pallette is throwing 97 and Cleveland kept him. I have a bad feeling about how that is going to turn out.

Justin Crawford wins the Phillies’ starting CF job and Andrew Painter earns a spot in their rotation, bumping Tajuan Walker to the bullpen. Unfortunately, I don’t think they would have any use for Benintendi.
