I was rather smitten by the Italian woman yesterday.

  • I ordered my USA curling baseball cap from New Balance so my wife or son can gift me something other than a Sox cap for Christmas....I'll be very happy when I unwrap it this December.

FREEBIRD BABY!

Figure skating shaping up for a dramatic ending...

Amber Glenn from 13th to at least 5th place with four to go.

Liu and the three Japanese skaters left, including Kaori Sakamoto.

US and Japan basically shadowing each other throughout the Olympics in medal counts.

Thrilling comeback victory for USA women's hockey. Pulling the goalie worked! Then the OT goal. That's dramatic stuff of legends.

Was mesmerized by the great women's figure skating victory. Alysa Liu was perfect in her routine. Not one mistake. Great comeback story.

The Olympics still works for me as long as the athletes don't get up on the podium and bash America. I totally buy into the stories of hard work and am a sucker for the athletes' reactions on the podium when they are full of joy not political angst.

GO USA! Women's hockey and Liu! Heroes in my eyes.

Always looking to start something.  Thread is fine, and you have to drag this BS in. We see you.

US v Canada in the mens as well.  This is going to be fun.

Wow. As Sally Field would say, "You hate me. You really hate me." I loved her special skate and loved Team USA hockey. Pulling the goalie early worked and the OT win was legendary.

No, you know the rules and still pull crap like that, and then play stupid.  It's insulting.

It would be nice if the US women can win a bronze in curling.

The Canadian and US Men's hockey teams are a great rivalry...would love to see that one go to a shootout in OT....with a 🇺🇸 win.

The US women's curling team had never defeated Canada in the Olympics........until today that is.

Thrilling match won 9-8.

Well, Team Canada got its revenge and denied the USA Women a medal.

All I've got to say is.........

Gold Medal Hockey game 2nd period 1-0 US.

1-1 Makar goal. Canada has owned the 2nd period.

Canada dominating 3rd period but still 1-1 Shots 38-21 in Canada's favor. 7 minutes left.

Canada 4 minute double minor high stick with 6:34 left.

Big opportunity for US.

US penalty with 49 seconds left in their PP. 3:23 left. Canada PP for 1:11 after 4 on 4 for 49 seconds.

OT ! Hellebuyck's been a rock. US outshot 41-26.

Incredible game and pace. Oh and I hate 3 on 3 OT to decide the gold no matter if the U.S. wins or not. Should be 5 on 5.

It's over! USA wins the Gold. 2-1 with OT goal by Jack Hughes !!!

The US was so outworked and outplayed, but the G just stood on his head.  Bounces want their way in OT for the GWG!  Great match

USA players holding up the late Johnny Gaudreau jersey as a tribute to him and his brother with the Gaudreau family in the stands.

They have an honorary medal for Gaudreau? Not a dry eye in the place if so. Thats awesome.

Hellebuyck deserves all the credit.

Hell of a performance!

I think Canada wins gold if Bedard is on that team. And I will die on that hill.

Hellebuyck stood on his head and stole the game for the USA. He's been dogged by a bad reputation in big games but he came through.

McDavid trying to play hero ball and got burned.

He will never be Sid.
